I can't say enough about this program. I just completed the 3 week IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program). This by far, was the best treatment, on a medical side, that I have ever received. I did the 3-day evaluation, where I met with most of the providers, and I was invited to come back for the 3-week program. They will put you up in a beautiful hotel, that was the first impressive thing. Then, the staff, thank you just does not cut it, and I have told them that. A lot of veterans have the same complaint, that if we go to the VA for help or treatment, a lot of times we are just dismissed, given some meds, and told to come back in several months, so they can basically do the same thing. The staff at the TBI clinic, are all truly caring, and compassionate individuals. They saw me, and heard me, which was huge for me. Everyone there is absolutely amazing, but I would like to give another huge thank you to the providers that I actually saw and received treatment / advice from. Huge thank you to Bethany (Mindfulness/Movement treatment), Sophia(Speech Therapy), Neil (Physical Therapy), Sheila (Behavioral Health), Chelsea (Art Therapy), Steven (Music Therapy), Grace (nutrition), The pain management ladies (can't remember their names), Michelle (program director), Demetria (case manager / behavioral health), Marie (speech therapy), Ty (physical therapy) Val (group therapy/ behavioral health), The pharmacist there (sorry, I can't remember her name either) Jeanne and Giselle (The ladies that work at the front desk, and also do all of the coordination with a hotel's, schedules, and our lunch cards), Shelby (case manager )and last but certainly not least, the nine other amazing individuals I went through this program with. This program absolutely sets the standard, this is the gold standard for what care should be. I was told that there is a similar program here in North Carolina where I live, but I have heard such amazing things about the facility and staff at the University of Florida location, I made the drive all the way down, and it was no problem. These amazing individuals pulled so much out of me, were able to analyze so much, and tell me so much more about myself than I have ever heard before. I can write a book about my 3 week experience, even the three-day experience was phenomenal. If you are considering going through this program, I highly recommend it. You will be pushed to your limits, but everything is very controlled and very comfortable. I haven't cried as much as I did in these 3 weeks in decades. It was all good tears though, because I was shown so much about myself, and so many revelations. Thank you again to everyone involved, I will always hold a special place in my heart for each and every one of you, and I will never forget this amazing experience, that goes for the staff, and my fellow cohorts.
Amazing staff of professionals who care and serve veterans like me! I highly recommend this program to veterans seeking help for possible TBI or PTSD that’s service related.
I was able to participate in their TBI screening for veterans. I don't have the words to accurately describe how wonderful this program is and how grateful I am for everyone involved in the seamless process. Every single staff member was so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this to any veteran with TBI issues.
Incredible TBI and PTSD treatment for military and first responders.
