Dr. Allison Ventura is a Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. She directs child and adolescent psychology and counseling services for the UF College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Ventura specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is the first certified clinician in Northeast Florida, holding DBT-Linehan Board of Certification. She leads the DBT program at UF Health Psychiatry – San Jose, treating patients with complex dysregulation, including self-harm and suicidal behaviors. Her research focuses on mindfulness-based interventions in elementary schools, particularly mindfulness coaching for teachers of students with emotional behavioral disorder.
