Best Thai massage place! The staff are experts at targeting specific problems that even doctors couldn't fix. They know what they are doing. I’ve tried many Western-style massages that cost twice as much but don’t do much. Thai massage can be painful, but the results are miraculous so would deffo recommend trying. An absolutely fantastic place. My partner and I are now regulars. Many thanks!

Just had a 90 minute massage with pai today absolutely fantastic I’ve been suffering for years now with my back and shoulders I’m not quite fixed as yet but feel so much better than before pai really loosened me up and worked her magic absolutely lovely lady will be back soon. Amazing service, lovely attentive staff. Felt really cared for and so much better after my 60 minute massage. After suffering months of back pain, finally felt the tension had been relieved and felt so much lighter and relaxed after my visit. I had a fantastic experience at Retreat Massage Centre. From the moment you step inside until the moment you leave, they make you feel cared for and respected. The staff are extremely professional and very polite. I came in with pain in my neck and shoulder, and after their professional massage, the pain was completely gone. I could move my shoulder much more freely. They really know how to relieve pain and tension. I highly recommend them, and I’ll definitely be going back again and again!

I have had many Thai massages around the world and this is undoubtedly one of the best places I have visited. The staff are all without exception very highly qualified and experienced in Thai Massage. Everyone here is always very friendly and the rooms are very nicely decorated and very clean. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

I'm afraid I'll have to give this business a negative review. I was not looking for a traditional Thai massage, but this place came recommended so I gave it a try. The man at reception said the masseuse would cater to my specific needs, Thai-style or not. Fine. When I met the masseuse, I began to explain what I wanted (deep-tissue focusing on neck and shoulders) but she just waved me onto the bed without listening. She proceeded to give me a traditional Thai massage. I had my limbs pulled, I was stood on, I had my neck cracked. This was not what I wanted. I realised her command of English was not good and she didn't understand what I was requesting. She was perfectly nice though. Perhaps it was just this particular masseuse? I returned to speak to the owner, Bob, but his shop had two customers inside. I didn't want to complain in front of them, so we had a brief exchange at the door. Bob just said: 'All our ladies have good English'. Feeling there was no gain to be had in this awkward chat, I went away and wrote a reasonable, courteous message to him, fully explaining what had happened. I put forward a solution: perhaps I could state what I wanted in my massage through Google Translate? He completely ignored me. I get it: this business is busy enough for them to discard customers who aren't happy with their service. It's just a very bad way treat customers though, especially when they've got reasonable points to improve the business. I definitely recommend Chada Thai Massage down the road instead, who are much more professional, responsible and respectful (for only £5 more). Chada Thai is excellent. 17 London Road.

I love massage in general and I go on a relatively regular basis. This was my first time at this Thai massage place with my friend though as it was his birthday present and we both loved it a lot!! Very welcoming and friendly staff and sensible prices too so will return in the future for more!
