I came to Gemma advising her that I was having problems with my left knee, due to more running. Gemma was very thorough with her assessment and advice on how we could reduce the pain and strengthen the muscles surrounding my concerns. Despite only being able to use email, telephone and video appointments, I felt the service that was provided by Gemma was nothing short of professional, clear and very helpful. Once the guidelines changed and we were able to have face to face appointments, the physiotherapy techniques of acupuncture and cupping were introduced and improved my rehab straight away. Gemma was very clear and concise and the safety guidelines were adhered to throughout my face to face appointments, ensuring we were both made to feel safe and comfortable throughout the session. I would highly recommend Knots N Niggles to anyone struggling with an injury or interested in seeking professional physiotherapy.
I came to Gemma with a year-long issue I had with my knee which had prevented me from running. She has helped me hugely with understanding my problems, providing exercises and building up my confidence to progress my running distance without pain. The remote sessions have been extremely helpful to me as I am in London, but knew they provided a great service as I'd also had a great sports massage from them when studying in Sheffield. Would definitely recommend.
I saw Emily before lockdown as I was experiencing intense pinching pains around the top of my back and neck. I wasnt sure how much a sports massage would help, but it really, really did help and I soon felt back to my best. Emily was friendly and sensitive to my concerns, offered sound advice, gave a great massage and then recommended certain stretches to help me improve going forward. She did not push for further appointments, but I will go back when it is safe to do so, because I really did feel the benefits both physically and mentally. Great value for money, would highly recommend.
I recently had an amazing back, neck and shoulders massage at knots n niggles. As soon as I walked in I felt calm! It is a lovely, relaxing space and the therapist was welcoming and also provided excellent treatment. I really liked how she asked me questions during the treatment about how I was finding the massage. I felt very uplifted and relaxed afterwards!
Great value for money and friendly staff. Highly recommend if youβre in need of a massage. Went for a sports massage after suffering from really bad pain on my shoulder and neck. The consultation was great the lady listened the massage helped 100% and if I ever have any more pains elsewhere will be going back. There was no pressure to book another appointment. There is free parking outside the building didnβt find it hard to park since I got there early.
If you want someone to really listen to you and understand what treatment you need then Emily is who you want to come see. The sports massage targeted the right area and I was given an additional exercise to do at home to help keep the area niggle free. Emily really understood my fitness goals and was super knowledgable about weight lifting. If you need a receipt for your health insurance then this can also be arranged. Thanks again for such a great service, Emily!
I went for a sports massage and a follow up session and I honestly feel 8ft tall! Emily does an incredible job and has really sorted my back out and suggested great exercises to keep the good work she has done going. I can't recommend her enough I feel so much better! Thank you! π
Really helped me with some long-standing back and neck pain. They were able to work out the tension over a number of sessions and gave me some exercises to do at home to reduce my need to keep coming back. I had multiple appointments, I never felt pressured to book in for sessions and the whole process was geared towards sorting out my back and neck so I have to use their services less and less. I now just go as and when I need to.Thank you.
Would highly recommend! Having tried a few different massage places in Sheffield, Knot n Niggles have come out on top. I've experienced fantastic sports massages here - Gemma's like a magnet to all the knots and niggles and I've always come away feeling better. Such a friendly place, great location and funky venue too.
I've had 2 great sports massages here, each for a different niggle. The masseuse knew exactly what she was doing, and I felt much better after the massage. I will definitely be going again, and I would recommend to anyone who's feeling strained after training.
