Doesn't see covert abuse. Won't support in the correct way. Won't tell someone they're being abused. Clarity and education is important.

So I went here seeking support for alcohol and I done my assessment with them and when it came to signing my confidentiality agreement they asked me if social services were to contact them would I be ok with them sharing the information I have provided them with and I said yes. The next day I got a phone call from social services asking about my drinking. They never told me that they were going to make a referral to social services and adviced me to speak to them myself. Then I also disclosed that I have a mental health issue I am currently getting treatment for and I am very coherent and stabilised and I have complete mental capacity. They also disclosed to social services that I have a mental health condition as well. What does my mental health have to do with drinking alcohol and if my mental health support network thought I couldn't care for my child they would have made a referral themselves. That being said they completely breached confidentiality and disclosed other information pertaining to my mental health condition which sounds like discrimination to me. I trusted them to help me after I felt my drinking was getting out of hand and for them to respond by reporting me to social services is absolutely appalling and my child has never once been neglected or abused. So this is why people who actually really need help don't reach out to support networks like this because I don't trust this service now because they have put me at risk of losing my child and why would I now feel comfortable accessing this service if I reached out for help and you scrutinized me for getting help so I can be a better parent for my child and I am very well educated so I do realise they have breached confidentiality.

Honestly helped me so much and still helping me now. Started with one to one support and now been offered a variety of group therapies to join and for me to choose which I feel will work best for me. They even clocked on to my medical issues and helped me get the right support medically too from NHS. NRN done more for me in a year than I’ve received in ten years of being in mental health services and I can’t thank them enough. I’m fully sober now :)

Awful. I suffer with depression and have a cronic illness and have been on medication now for 17 years. I'm completely over using hard drugs but after so long on subbies I'd go into withdrawal without them and they help with my mental state. After nearly being blackmailed into going on methadone, which I categorically said I didn't want it was only by the intervention of a doctor that I stayed on subbies. For some power trip by keyworker I'm forced to go into the city every 6 weeks to collect scripts and if I'm having a bad moment and don't go in I'm left to detox and all the dark feelings that go with it. There duty of care is woeful, I'm supposed to be on a maintenance script but feel like I'm made to jump through hoops all the time. Absolutely rubbish service...

Absolutely appalling service. Id be surprised id this place has managedto get even one person through the recovery process. They dont listen to what you nees in support but they dictate to you what medication you will be put on. Disgraceful that im not allowed to say with an informed decision what I put in my body. I would have received better help if i was listened to and put on the medications i wanted to try but instead i felt i were forced to go on Methadone by them eliminating any other options and refusing to give me anything else.
