Dan took me in at my lowest and most physically broken. Bit by bit I’ve returned to sport which is an incredible turnaround. I was so lucky to find him. The best
Started doing session with Henry 3 weeks ago, this was at 3.5 months post ACL op. From our initial session I knew that Henry was definitely the person to trust with my recovery process going forward. He is very meticulous and great attention to detail and you can tell he really cares and very much enjoys seeing the progress as mush as I do. Can't recommend him enough!
It was great to be treated by Henry at Elite Performance Physio. He is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and was very thorough in his assessment of my injuries. Through sessions at the clinic and helpful exercises to do at home, I saw positive results and experienced a huge reduction in pain very quickly. He also gave me exercises to be able to maintain my physical health whilst working away. I can highly recommend him and the team at Elite Performance Physio.
Dan is incredibly professional, friendly and he built a great rapport with me from the very first session. He always puts me at ease and is extremely knowledgeable from head to toe, which has been clear across the range of issues he has helped me with. Being specialised in dance physio makes such a difference, as he truly understands the environment and challenges dancers face. He has supported me through both shorter-term injuries and a longer-term condition (Osgood–Schlatter), helping me strengthen the right muscles so I could continue dancing safely in a modified way throughout the extended period it affected me. His guidance has made a huge difference to my ability to progress and my confidence as a dancer. He’s helped me learn to listen to and understand my body better, and he’s also recognised and supported me in how to mentally cope with injuries, something that can impact recovery just as much as the physical side. I highly recommend Dan and wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I'm a vocalist and was having problems with my singing voice and neck mobility. Over 6 sessions, with Dan's therapy, my movement and control have been restored and I now use the exercises Dan showed me as part of my regular vocal warm-up. Dan is approachable, knowledgeable and so helpful! I will definitely recommend him.
I’ve been working with Daniel for close a year on various imbalances and weaknesses. And gone from not being able to do pull-ups without elbow pain to doing them multiple times a week without any issues. Definitely the most attentive physio I’ve seen, he makes tweaks to my programmes regularly based on our previous results and progress. Highly recommend
Dan has been great - would recommend to all. I’ve been seeing Dan as a musician with a fairly longer term issue with my wrist and shoulder. He’s knowledgable, understood the demands of my work and tailored treatment accordingly. I’ve seen a significant improvement with my issues and now feel well equipped with exercises to help prevent future problems.
I’ve been working with Dan at Elite Performance Physio for a recurring sciatica-related hamstring issue and an Achilles rupture. Dan and his team have been excellent, building great rapport, offering intelligent, tailored suggestions, and they clearly know their stuff. What also really sets this physio apart from other physios I've been too, is that he works from his own well-equipped space and gym in a great location, which makes the sessions way more effective and practical. Highly recommend
Dan Turnell is our go-to physiotherapist for dancers at the University of Salford — and for good reason. He truly understands the physical demands of dance and the unique pressures faced by dance professionals. After a recent injury, I was seen quickly, received a clear diagnosis, and was given a tailored rehab plan that considered the specific nature of my role as a dance lecturer. His pacing of recovery was excellent — in just over five weeks, I went from hobbling to fully teaching and dancing again. Dan is personable, clear, and efficient, and his expertise and care make him an invaluable part of our support network.
I would definitely recommend Dan to anyone in need of physio. He has been a massive help for my hip and knee issues and I am now back running. He is very knowledgeable and is great at explaining the reasons behind each exercise and movement.
