I highly recommend! Ive been attending Kates class for 6 years. I always feel amazing and 2 inches taller after her classes. She gives great feedback through the class that always means you stay in check with your body and getting the most from the moves. She has taught me how to truly connect with my body and know what it needs.

I've had great experiences at Altius using their physio services. Having a Manchester City Centre venue as well as Bury and Hale, means it's convenient to be seen no matter where I’m travelling around greater Manchester. The booking process is smooth, and all the reception staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Personally, I've had appointments with Doug and Charlotte and can thoroughly recommend both. Doug takes a high-level overview assessment of the problems and wants to find and treat the cause of the pain, not just the symptoms. I have found this incredibly helpful. His knowledge of healthcare and how to work with both NHS and private systems is brilliant. Charlotte is a superb sports therapist who can take you from initial pain management, through to PT and training in the gym again without aggravating your previous injuries. Her knowledge of how your body works together as one unit and what impacts what is amazing. Much appreciation for the excellent team at Altius.

I’m a runner up to marathon distance and started Pilates with Kate Hindley during the pandemic to help with some injury problems I was having. I have carried on with one-to-one and virtual group sessions with her since. Being a qualified physio means that Kate tailors our one-to-one sessions towards what I need to focus on most while ensuring they cover an overall body workout too. Every session is different, which makes things enjoyable, and we now cover strength, conditioning and plyometrics, in addition to more traditional Pilates. In both the one-to-one and virtual sessions, Kate will push you enough to get the adaptation but not too much so you completely burnout. She offers options to make the exercises harder or easier depending how you are feeling, so you can manage the difficulty yourself. I’ve also done physio sessions with Kate following injuries such as sprained ankles. She undertakes the assessments methodically and gives you exercises to follow to get you back up to speed as soon as possible. I can’t recommend Kate enough and the fact I have been working with her for over 5 years is testament to that. It’s no coincidence that I have been far less injury prone since working with Kate and I’ve been able to run significant personal bests in my running well into my 40s. I’m really liking the Altius space at Bloc in Manchester which is modern and very accessible for people living in the city centre. The booking system is very easy to use, allowing easy changes, and Doug, the owner, has been very welcoming too since I started there. Get yourself booked in, but don’t steal my Monday slot!

Absolutely amazing service, Kate is ever so talented and passionate in her job she doesn’t just work with the client regarding their health, but also mentions general daily routine, life goals and a better quality of life. I ask God to guide her to everything that is beautiful and successful me as an individual with scoliosis she is skilled and well educated. Thank you so much from all the work that you guys provide.

Kate is a fantastic physio. Her plans and advice are so targeted to your individual needs, she really works with you. I went in to my first session with her injured and knowing very little about strength and conditioning; I came out not only feeling better but with a comprehensive route to healing and prevention of future injuries.

I am seeing Kate Hindley for chest pain caused by costochondritis, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. From the very first appointment, Kate was professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. She took the time to fully assess my symptoms, clearly explained what was causing the pain, and created a treatment plan that was tailored to me. Her hands-on treatment and exercises made a real difference, and I felt listened to and supported throughout my recovery. Kate’s calm and confident approach really helped ease my anxiety around chest pain. Thanks to her expertise, my symptoms are improving significantly. An excellent physiotherapist who genuinely cares about her patients.

Kate has a gift of teaching Pilates - she makes the sessions challenging yet enjoyable. I have to say that I have been doing Pilates for several years now and it has made a huge change for me and many others. Keep up the great work Kate.

Kate is an amazing Pilates teacher. I have been to her classes, both in person and online, and I can’t fault them. She covers all muscle groups and each class is different. She is an excellent physiotherapist too!

I have been going to Kate for Pilates for over a year now. Her sessions are brilliant. My core strength has improved so much. Kate focuses on the areas you need whilst also ensuring you are pushed and challenged. Great sessions that leave you energised.

I've been seeing Kate for one-to-one fortnightly pilates lessons for a couple of years, and whole-heartedly recommend her to any disabled or chronically ill people who are trying to build strength. She is very knowledgeable about my conditions (HSD, POTS and fibromyalgia), and regularly checks in to see how I'm managing them, as well as encouraging me to speak to my GP when appropriate. The bloc is accessible to wheelchairs and well placed in the middle of town.
