Melanie went above and beyond to advise me on the best way forward for my child's care. I contacted Educational Potential with a query for a service it turned out that they don't in fact offer, and Melanie called me straight back, not with a polite rejection of my request, but to talk me through alternative options in a way that left me feeling much more able to advocate for my child. Her generosity and knowledge were invaluable and I'd give six stars if I could!
My son, had his Dyslexia assessment in December 2025, and we could not be more grateful for the professionalism, care, and insight provided throughout the entire process. From the moment we arrived, the assessor created a calm and reassuring environment, helping him feel comfortable and confident straight away. The assessment itself was carried out with great expertise and sensitivity. Every step was clearly explained, and it was evident how skilled the assessor was at engaging with children and bringing out the best in them. He left feeling proud of himself, which meant the world to us.
I am truly sorry to be leaving a negative review, as I normally avoid doing so, but I feel my experience could be valuable for other families facing similar difficulties. I chose Educational Potential to assess my son for ADHD, dyslexia and other possible learning disabilities. From the very beginning, I clearly explained our needs and the reasons for seeking this assessment. After a long back-and-forth, the clinic provided a report that contained no diagnosis at all, offered no meaningful conclusions, and instead appeared to blame my son’s behaviour for being too anxious during the assessment. No clear clinical outcome was given, despite the purpose of the evaluation being explicitly discussed in advance. When I raised concerns and asked whether the assessment could be repeated or partially refunded, the clinic refused outright, taking no responsibility and dismissing any possibility of resolution. I was charged in full for an assessment that, in my view, failed to deliver what was agreed or reasonably expected. I am now taking legal steps to recover the fees paid. I am sharing this experience not out of spite, but in the hope of sparing another family the distress, disappointment, and financial strain that we are currently going through.

Our family recently worked with Educational Potential for our daughter’s Educational Psychology assessment, and the whole experience has been absolutely brilliant. From the first point of contact, Melanie and her team were friendly, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable. The assessment itself was carried out in such a fair, calm and thorough way that our daughter felt completely at ease throughout. What stood out most to us was how quickly and accurately they understood her. Within just two hours, they had captured her profile and presentation perfectly, it was as though they’d known her for years. When we received the report, we were genuinely impressed. It was detailed, insightful, and reflected our daughter exactly as she is. The aftercare has been nothing short of supportive. Melanie and the team have been there for every question, every clarification, and every worry, and as parents, that meant a lot. We’re extremely happy with the entire process and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Educational Potential to any family looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and highly skilled team. — The Dudley Family
Educational Potential had a reasonable waiting time for an appointment and went out of their way to be helpful . The Educational Psychologist demonstrated compassion and kindness when assessing my son’s educational learning needs.and the final report reflected my son’s strengths and needs excellently.
Could not recommend enough for an educational psychologist assessment. Melanie made this progress smooth and simple to go through with. She was more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Richenda instantly made my daughter feel at ease on the assessment day(she was very anxious about carrying out the assessment without me). She was warm, welcoming and professional throughout the whole process. Highly recommend any parent looking for an educational psychologist assessment to book one with Educational Potential.

The process from start to finish has been very clear, supportive and informative. Melanie and the team have been incredibly helpful and I was very impressed with the assessment process and report. Melanie has also been great at responding to my questions. My son enjoyed his assessment, and the assessor Ben really engaged well with him. The report is excellent and contains a lot of useful information for ourselves and his school to take forward. Thank you!
