I worked with Kristina for ~2 years and absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist in London. When I first started working with her, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted out of the sessions but knew I had a lot of reflection to do. I was also feeling more anxious than normal and my moods were less stable. I had a lot of big life decisions that were approaching quickly and I wanted to be in the best headspace possible to make them. Kristina patiently helped me understand myself better which in turn allowed me to be more confident in the decisions I was making. Through our work, I also was able to feel a lot more calm and contentment in life than I did two years ago. She is incredibly thoughtful, asks excellent questions and isn’t afraid to be direct or push back when necessary. This was the perfect balance for me and I think this style works well broadly. I had experience with two other therapists before Kristina but neither stuck because I found it hard to build rapport and trust. So if you’re on the fence about starting therapy or about working with Kristina, take the plunge. You won’t regret it
Kristina was amazing - she’s is incredibly empathetic, and asked pertinent, searching and insightful questions in order for me to find the clarity I was looking for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
A friend recommended Kristina to me when I was going through a difficult break up and divorce after she had an incredible experience. After speaking to a few therapists I found I was able to connect really easily with Kristina and therefore proceeded with sessions for over 18months. I found Kristina made me feel so comfortable sharing difficult topics and created a safe space to do so. Having our sessions has been an incredible help in processing not only a difficult divorce but also other challenging circumstances I have dealt with in the past. I have such a better understanding of my own patterns and impacts which has now enabled me to handle situations much more effectively. I honestly think I’ve managed to heal so much more quickly having had the support of Kristina and don’t know what I would have done without that. Thank you again Kristina you are amazing and I’m such an advocate of therapy now for everyone.
I cannot recommend Kristina highly enough. After many years of constructing a fiercely independent & self sufficient life style where I dealt with everything alone, I was starting to notice more and more the flip side of trying to be everything to everyone but not allowing anyone to be there for me. I was noticing that I was increasingly angry and frustrated, and my partner would often receive the brunt of this. I decided that before proposing I had to resolve long standing issues with my own emotions that I had been suppressing or had not even fully explore, having gotten used to dismissing my own feelings. Having seen therapists before Kristina was able to gain my trust where in the past I now see I had not let others. With her help and approach I was able to go past the narrative I had spent years constructing where things 'didn't bother me' and really go to a place I had kept hidden, I was able to start being vulnerable. We uncovered patterns of behaviour and explored many complex and converging issues such as my race, relationships, family and also the pressures of these connected intersectionalities with my work. Over time I began to react differently in situations of pressure, stress and annoyance and explore what was at the root of frustrations. This is just a small part of the journey we went on but I am forever grateful to Kristina for pushing past where I had previously built a wall. For anyone wondering whether or not to book an appointment please read this a sign that you most definitely should. Again I cannot recommend Kristina more highly.
I have nothing but absolute praise for Kristina and her psychotherapy practice and services. As a middle-aged, educated working professional, I was at rock bottom in my life personally, professionally and emotionally and I needed a highly qualified, intelligent and caring yet "direct" person to listen to my troubles, identify and connect the dots of cause and effect, and politely challenge or call "BS" when I wasn't necessarily being honest with myself or my true feelings. Throughout my sessions, Kristina provided all of that and more in a very relaxed environment using her steadfast yet calm demeanour which enabled me to be both forthright and comfortably vulnerable during our discussions. In turn, she provided me with incredibly poignant psychological insights and many "ah ha" moments along with sound remedies to deal with my issues, misconceptions and fears. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kristina.
I had found myself really struggling for the first time in my life, as a result of a conflict between my family of origin and my family of choice/partner. For months I was unsure what position to take and felt I had been torn apart between two parties I loved most, leaving me unable to find my own position and perspective. This escalated a few times and started to impact both relationships but also my generally upbeat mood, concentration at work etc. I knew I needed some professional guidance to help me navigate the situation and am extremely pleased I found Kristina; who turned out to be just the therapist I needed with her stabilising, kind attitude yet not shying away from challenging me, my upbringing and perceptions. I found our open and frank exchanges very constructive and supportive, and after 22 sessions felt I could continue to implement our work building on the tools she had given me throughout these sessions. Kristina has helped me be emotionally stronger, and I can recommend her unequivocally.
