The concept is good. I like the fact that the sessions are done online because, to be honest, I live in an area where there aren’t many therapists, and it’s easy to find a suitable one online. The problem is this: the suitability. Choose Therapy offers counsellors who are still in training and not qualified yet. Because they are still training, they do not get paid. I was wondering: where does my money go if not to the person I am working with? I liked my counsellor Daisy but eventually I decided to stop working with her after I realised that we weren’t on the same wavelength. I just prefer a qualified and professional therapist rather than someone who is still in training. It’s 36 quid a session and I’ve found a private, qualified counsellor for 60. I know it’s more expensive, but at least I know I’m working with a professional and I am not constrained by their cancellation policy.

I should’ve checked the reviews before signing up for this counselling service. Aside from the dodgy cancellation clauses in the contract, I clocked that my trainee counsellor had actually snooped on my LinkedIn profile a couple of times before our session. Quite disturbing and unprofessional. Definitely they won't be seeing me again.

I had 3 sessions with them in total. It should have been 4 but I got stung by their bizarre cancellation policy and couldn't cancel one of them. Right from the first session, I found out my 'counsellor' was actually still in training and wasn't even qualified yet. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and keep going anyway but by the third session she was still just firing questions at me. She didn't offer any actual insight or give me anything helpful to reflect on. Her responses felt completely robotic, almost like she was reading straight from a textbook. There was no warmth to her at all, and I honestly felt like she couldn't care less about what I was telling her. I know it seems cheap but in the end it's not worth it. You’re much better off finding a private counsellor so you can control your own schedule.

Natalia Moles was an amazing therapist- I found her to be very calming, and very educated even though she’s still in training I felt like she had all the knowledge to help me in the best way- as well as additional knowledge I didn’t even know I needed! Would recommend her definitely! I hope I won’t need to go back to therapy of course, but if I event needed to I’d feel happy and confident going back to Natalia!

I had a really good journey with Choose Therapy. I was nervous to restart therapy but my therapist was great. I learnt a lot about myself and feel much better. Thank you - I would definitely recommend!

Most affordable service I could find. My therapist was brilliant and made me feel really listened to. Helped me through a very difficult time.
