Amazing service from all at ISC care. From start to finish couldn’t recommend this company enough. Will keep recommending to help people finally get the help they need. Thank you again for all your help
The team at I Stryker are amazing, they are always there when you have any questions and do their best to ensure you always feel listened to and have a voice. As my job is an advocate I appreciate this so much. My reviews are so important to me and as an older person being diagnosed with ADHA and coming to terms with this and now excepting I’m not different my brain just works differently to what is considered to be the norm has been made so much easier by the again amazing staff employed I can not speak highly enough about my experience with I Stryker and would encourage anyone wanting to explore whether they have ADHD to engage with them.
My experience with this clinic has been really good. I found my assessment to be thorough and I felt we covered things in a lot of detail. In my titration/therapy appointments I felt like I was listened to and given good advice when I needed it, this was not just on matters of titration and how to get the best out of my medication but also advice on how to handle certain things that I find difficult due to my adhd and caring responsibilities. I also must mention that Jenna from the admin team was simply amazing. Every time I had a question or something I needed help with she got back to me quickly and got things done. I’m happy with the experience I had from this clinic and on this basis I would recommend them.
Been with this clinic since March 2025 At first response times where incredibly quick, communication was clear and polite. A few days later my first appointment was cancelled “due to to operational” reasons but that was fine. I then went in for my assessment with Elliot who was great and really listened to what I was saying, he was young but very professional. Then exactly 3 weeks later I got my diagnosis for combined ADHD which was not a surprise. I then booked in for my ECG at the clinic which again was fine, quick appointments. I noticed on the confirmation that blood pressure would be checked, I have really bad white coat syndrome and my BP always goes sky high in the doctors so I informed them of this and took my own readings at home, however in the appointment I was still made to get my BP readings which as expected where near critical levels. This then delayed my chance to start my medication as I had to go home and take 5 days worth of BP readings, again I know they was only covering themselves as this medication can be dangerous but if they had just listened to me it could’ve saved a lot of Time. I finally got my medication (methylphenidate 5mg) which seems to be the starting point with private care and the started my titration/therapy appointments initially with Oliver, during the first session he said he would Have to do my BP (not this again) and as expected it was sky high, cause of this they would not issue me my second prescription even though I had now twice made them aware of my issues. Again I had to go home and take 5 days readings, delaying my treatment and resulting in a flip flopping approach to life on ADHD medication. I was really quite angry at this stage and i really voiced my opinion to Oliver and the prescriber (Jasmine) as that time. After this first session I had several others with Oliver and felt like he didn’t know how to handle me I felt he couldn’t wait to get the appointment finished. At this point I was getting really sick of the place, the admin staff and their lack of empathy and slow response times, bearing in mind the people they are dealing with and was also sick of the current therapist Oliver and his lack of skills to handle irate clients even though I repeatedly told him I wasn’t angry at him. To Top things off then received somebody else’s prescription at my house (he did have the same name as me) but I had taken the morning off to wait in and then had to take the wrong prescription over to the clinic at my own expense, I was offered reimbursement but never got it. It’s at this stage I made a complaint to the operations manager David, my first complaint was missed apparently so I made another and David responded quickly to this and then took over my case and took my therapy/titration sessions, if it wasn’t for David this review would be 1 star. David was great I instantly felt I could connect with him and this made life a lot more easier for my remaining sessions. I have recently been accepted for shared care which is a massive relief, what you’re not told upon signup is the astronomical cost of private medical- wow £96 for 28 tablets plus the £88.50 titration/presciption, this really mounts up. So be ready. Especially if the first lot of medication is no good which in my case it wasn’t. I am now on 50mg of elvanse. I’ve really took my time to write this review and I wanted to leave a bad one a long time ago, but their are also a lot of positives, pricing is considerably less than other private clinics, it’s in a good location which is easily accessible, appointments can be done online if things change last minute, GPs will recognise them so it wasn’t hard getting shared care. However they do really need to sort many things out, it could be a really great place with some changes and maybe some more experienced therapists. Finally I am glad I got my diagnosis and am now a lot more stable on the medication, it’s not a magic pill but it does help a lot. I would again like to thank David and Jenna who is the one admin person that actually listened and got things done.
As someone who has seen the very worst of the problems with ADHD support (7 year NHS waiting lists, increasingly difficult support for shared care and medication), Straker as a team, and Navinder in particular have been an absolute breath of fresh air. Informed, patient, understanding, and professional. Absolute pleasure to interact with.
I would advise people against using Istraker Consultants for ADHD & Autism assessments. I chose this provider rather impulsively (classic ADHD move) because I was in crisis and needed answers. During my time with the team, I was passed from one therapist to another on three occasions. Claire agreed to leave the business suddenly with immediate effect, Laura couldn't have looked any less interested in what I had to say and just went on about her upcoming new role with the Police and Dean, although empathetic to my situation, only conversed with me via email at this point as I had chosen to part ways with the business and start an alternative treatment with my GP. You are expected to monitor your blood pressure/pulse/weight at home even though this could be quickly checked on site during the “therapy sessions” (equipment is clearly visible in consultation rooms) which results in additional costs for those who don't have blood pressure monitors/equipment to record body weight at home. My report contains multiple discrepancies which tells me the trainee Psychologist wasn’t fully listening to what I was saying during the assessment and I've also recently come across other worrying reviews stating Ishbel Straker (Psychiatric Nurse/Prescriber at the time of my assessment) has been struck off the register. Whilst I agree with the diagnosis of combined-type ADHD, now that I am more knowledgeable on the disorder and referral process/pathway options, I would recommend speaking to your GP about an assessment/treatment via the Right To Choose legislation (England) The wait times for an assessment are much shorter (4-12 months as of September 2025) and the cost of the assessment/Titration/report is all covered by the NHS. If you're an adult looking for ADHD/Autism support in Liverpool, Ladders Of Life run a support group every Thursday from their premises in Kirkdale and you can find their details on Google.
Have been with I Straker for close to two years...honestly whilst the reception team seem lovely on the phone (and I'm sure they are), the customer service and organisation of the business in general is quite poor and not pro active. I feel i'm always chasing and had issues with repeat perscriptions on more than one occasion. As well, the last time I had a therapy session and medication review, I paid over 100 pounds for what was a 5 minute conversation with someone who seemed not very interested. Whether it's intentional or not, I've been left a couple times feeling like they care more about my money than my actual mental health and wellbeing.
I’m grateful for the support from I Straker Consultancy. Matthew created a safe and open space, which really helped make a nerve-wracking situation feel much easier to approach. A big thank you also to Jenna, who was lovely and responsive over email — thank you!
High turn over of staff ,= left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing , regardless of how early you put in and pay for the repeat prescription its always late = no thought for consistency of medication , if you do complain or try to inject some form of common sense into the process of getting the prescription on time ,you are then told you are being " overly assertive" because imagine having the audacity to want the service you have paid for on time to help your child! Would not recommend!
I experienced extremely poor service and follow-up at this clinic. They abruptly stopped my medication without any notice, which left me in a very vulnerable mental state. Despite their claims of offering therapy, it was never actually provided. The reception staff were consistently rude, and there were no qualified doctors prescribing treatment—only a pharmacist. When I asked why Isabel Straker had been struck off the medical register, they refused to answer and immediately discharged me from their private mental health service. Since leaving, I have finally received appropriate care from properly qualified medical professionals. This clinic was dismissive, unprofessional, and irresponsible in their handling of my treatment. Most GPs won’t even accept shared care from them because the prescriber isn’t a doctor. I strongly advise against spending your money here.
