It feels uncomfortable to review a counsellor, but I’m sharing this because I wouldn’t want someone seeking support — especially someone vulnerable or short on funds — to have the same experience I did. I was initially drawn to Fee’s counselling approach because of the emphasis on honesty and integrative therapy, and from our first session it was clear she has insight and experience. I also appreciated the flexible availability she offered. Unfortunately, my experience was let down by communication and follow-through. A session was cancelled without a note or explanation, and I did not hear back afterward. Given the context of therapy, this felt unusual and unsettling. I later realised that my payment for the session had errored (entirely my mistake). If this was a factor, it could have been easily resolved with a payment reminder or brief message, but no communication was sent. During sessions, resources and practical aids were mentioned as being shared “next time,” but these were never provided. I also felt that a noticeable portion of session time was spent with Fee apologising or over-explaining her own actions, which reduced the space available for therapeutic work. While I believe Fee has valuable insight, the lack of communication and consistency made it difficult to continue or feel supported.

I saw Fee as my therapist for a few months through a charity where she was volunteering, and I can’t say enough good things about her. She's genuinely one of the most amazing people i've ever met. I only stopped seeing her because the sessions were only limited, but I’m planning to see her again privately. She’s just amazing. she's so kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Like I never felt like I was just one client of many she always made me feel like she was completely focused on me and she somehow always remembered the tiniest details i only mentioned once from months ago!! From the first session I felt safe with her, i think it was because she has a really calm, grounding energy that made it really easy for me to open up. I was able to talk about some heavy stuff and start working through it, which I didn’t think I’d be able to do. I also really liked how real she was. Not overly formal or distant. she had a sense of humour, and it felt like I was talking to a human being, not just a therapist. It's strange because I never thought there would of be moments in therapy where you just sit and laugh but there was and that made a huge difference. Obviously she was always really professional but that made the space feel really safe and like somewhere I could feel safe enough to talk about my trauma. Fee is an incredible therapist and made it possible for me to talk about things I never thought I could. Working with her was one of the best decisions I made and I’m really really grateful for everything she helped me through!
