Great Church! Awesome CHOIR & Pastors. A suggestion: During New Years Eve service, move the people inside the foyer. It's too cold (30 degrees ) to be standing in long line outside.

My brother is on ward 1, and they seem to be looking after him very well. The staff are very friendly and chatty, and try to involve him in activities. Looking great thus far

Amazing perinatal mental health care team here. They were brilliant and looked after me so well. I was at ground zero and had severe intrusive thoughts / anxiety. Through their support i was fast tracked help staright away and came to terms with the fact I struggling with perinatal ocd / health anxiety. I felt I had a full entourage of help from a specialist midwife, care worker , psychiatrist and Psychologist. If I hadn't have got the help from their team it scares me to think where I could be now. The good news is I'm fully recovered and have them to thank for getting me back to my bubbly out going self and smashing mum life. All the anxiety is now gone. And even if it did come back I have an after care plan to refer to that is tailored to my issues and needs. To any mums out there reading this who are struggling. You are not alone! Reach out to your GP for a referral to the team they are brilliant and I cannot thank them enough for how they helped me.πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Absolute disgusting place, my grandma got brought in here from hospital as she was supposed to be treated to come home. Ever since she arrived here it’s just been down hill and every incident that’s happened has been swept under the carpet. Fractured fingers, broken pelvis, fractured vertebrates all from different occasions, changing colostomy bags without using spray which was clearly putting her in pain, left on her own to walk up and down the corridors after she’d broken her hip the list goes on. Every-time we went to see her she was left on her own and the majority of the staff are a nightmare to communicate with, a handful of staff were great but the rest are clearly there for an easy job. The place is like a prison and wouldn’t be good for anyone’s mental health, the full time she was in there she didn’t breathe a breath of fresh air as they don’t let the patients out in the garden, please do not bring your loved ones here as my grandma sadly passed away yesterday and I can honestly say it’s down to the abuse she has received from this place.

Horrendous place my mum has had so many breakages of bones here. Struggling to walk got no support from staff at all even though she is too frail for anymore operations! The place is a disgrace! Theyve got a lot to answer for!

Cannot praise the Mount enough. The care and love they showed my mum on Ward 4 was amazing. We will be forever grateful for all they did. The staff are wonderful and I’ve got to say we were quite sad to be saying goodbye to them.

I had a good experience with getting help with hospital phobia here when I was pregnant. It can be scary to need help with your mental health, but the team were so kind and it genuinely helped me get through a difficult patch.

If your nervous or anxious about a loved one being placed in the Mount in Leeds don’t be. The care and love they showed towards my Dad Henry was appreciated by all his family. My Dad contracted sepsis in July 2023. After 3 weeks in St James in Leeds and his mild dementia then being advanced to a much later stage of the illness he was then admitted to the Mount for treatment. He was there for 3 months and was admitted to a nursing home at the beginning of Nov 2023. All the staff at the Mount were wonderful doing the most difficult job you can ever imagine. Because his dementia progressed so quickly we had to learn about the illness at pace but our visits were made easy by the staff spending time explaining to us in detail and with compassion. We can’t thank them enough. Please don’t worry, your loved ones will be well looked after.

My Mum spent over 5months in the Mount on ward 2 under a section 3. My first impressions when I went was to grab my Mum and run. It's a shock to your system to be on an acute dementia/ mentalheath ward. You really don't know what to expect and your trying to come to terms with the fact your loved one is so sick. I would just say don't panic. Over time you will find that the team on this ward, every single one of them is an angel in disguise. My Mum was treated with respect and dignity. More than this she was treated with love, kindness, caring and great patience. They not only cared for my Mum they genuinely cared about Mum's family's needs. My husband had a heart attack while Mum was in and I found them all a great support. Mum is now in a care home thanks to the incredible care. I would love to personally name you all but no room. Thankyou from the bottom of are hearts we will always be grateful may you all get all that's good in life. Best wishes to you all MP family

My mother recently spent 5 weeks there and during that time hardly ate ! Food cold and like mush. The bank nurses were always different every day and had zero time for patients. What is worse is that when my mother had ECT at the Becklin Centre a nurse would say " oh you dont need that chocolate " ( my father had taken her ) then take it to "put in a fridge". Theft of patients belongings is a crime and I have contacted PALS patient advice liaison service about this matter. There used to be a well tended garden at the back where patients were allowed to sit. Seems like it's been left for quite some time now is neglected, as is the entrance the first thing either patients or visitors see. Hell hole of a place avoid at all costs !
