Today i had a 30-minute Swedish massage with Hayley at HK Crown Oriental Leeds, and it was truly exceptional. Hayley has a wonderful, caring touch and performed the treatment with such genuine love and attention to detail that I felt completely looked after. It wasn’t just a massage; it was a restorative experience from a gifted professional. Thank you again Hayley
I booked a 45-minute Indian head massage for £50 as stated on their website, but when I arrived I was told it was actually only 30 minutes for the same price because they “hadn’t updated the information online”. They never communicated this via phone or email before my appointment. When I went to pay by card they also tried to add an extra £2 fee, and when I said I wasn’t happy with that, I was told there was no alternative. The experience itself was very disappointing - the therapist kept using her phone during the massage (kept leaving it next to my head), the bed was stained, and the room was extremely small. Overall, very unprofessional and not worth the money. I won’t be visiting again.
Had 1.5 hour deep tissue with Linda. Room was lovely warm and cosy, massage was excellent and hot stones and head massage saw me so relaxed, think I fell asleep. Would recommend and very affordable.
Very professional staff and good environment. Really like the hot stone massage, and my friend got the hot oil one. Really sleepy and relax.
Recently, due to overtime work, my neck and shoulders have been as stiff as rocks. A friend recommended this place, and as soon as the therapist started working on me, I could tell it was different. He was able to accurately locate all my pain points and knots, then slowly worked them out with very skillful techniques. Throughout the process, he constantly communicated with me, asking if the pressure was right. He also gave me some tips on how to relieve shoulder and neck fatigue in my daily life, which was very thoughtful. After the massage, my entire upper body felt clear and my breathing was easier. The essential oils at this shop smell very pleasant, and the background music is very relaxing. Definitely a five-star review!
My friends brought me here as a surprise for my birthday. I’ll start by saying the massage itself was really good. The therapist clearly knew what she was doing, very skilled, focused on the areas I asked for, and explained everything in terms of Chinese medical treatment, which I appreciated. However, the experience overall just felt weird. First, the room wasn’t heated, and since I was only having a back, shoulder, and neck massage, my lower body wasn’t covered or kept warm at all. I was actually a bit cold throughout and there was no soothing music played. But the strangest and most uncomfortable part was that the therapist didn’t leave the room while I was changing — not before or after the massage. She just stayed there the whole time as I took my clothes off and put them back on. Personally, I’m not very body-conscious, so it didn’t bother me too much, but it did feel very unprofessional and left me wondering if that’s their normal practice with everyone… or if she didn’t trust me for some reason (which made me uncomfortable). So overall — the massage itself was excellent, but the environment and professionalism really let the experience down.
Paid £80 upfront for a 60-minute full body Thai massage for my partner, after clearly explaining that his shoulders needed particular attention. He is not the type to complain, but the experience was poor enough that I went back myself to question it. What he actually received was around 40 minutes of pressure over a towel, followed by about 20 minutes of light stroking on his neck, despite repeatedly asking for shoulder work. She briefly used an elbow on only his left calf with no work on the right side at all, showing a lack of balance or technique. No oil was used on his legs or lower back, and the front of his arms and legs were completely ignored, despite this being sold as a full body massage. There was no background music, the main light was left fully on, and no effort was made to create a relaxing or professional environment. The person carrying out the massage appeared to be the receptionist rather than a trained therapist. She wore jeans and an oversized jumper and stood in the room while he undressed and dressed, which was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. He is also fairly certain she was using her phone during parts of the massage itself. When I questioned what we had paid for, I explained that I am trained in Swedish massage and that both of us have had many genuine Thai massages. What was provided was not a Thai massage at all. She then admitted they are not Thai therapists, despite selling the treatment as a Thai massage, and simply kept repeating “next time” instead of addressing the issue. For £80, this experience was misleading, unprofessional, and extremely poor value. I would not recommend this business.
