Okay I'm updating my review to acknowledge that they have to treat an incumbent patient group with limited resources. And whilst they won't always get tops marks for their work, at least they try. And I respect that.

absolutely shocking service. Never seen a worse service with workers and prescribers giving false and inaccurate info telling my friend to buy illicit benzos during a nitazene crisis. Got all their names and il be taking this alot further. This service is going to kill more people than it helps.. Pure medical negligence what a disgrace.

So after waiting 3+ months on a waiting list, i was seen roughly 5 times as my mh worker always off sick and cancelled appointments last minute, ive not been seen in over 6 weeks i rang last week to find out what's happening to be told my mh worker is still off work sick and will be for a further 4 weeks, now ive been put back on the waiting list for another mh worker so I guess each time a worker goes off sick you will just be put back on the waiting list what an absolute joke this place is

A pretend service is worse than nothing. Maybe time to abandon treating mental health? Spend the money on better rights for everyone

I’ve been in with my friend who is struggling with his alcohol. He’s had two appointments and has desperately asked to go to rehab as he can’t give up the drinking on his own. ., he’s drinking upto 4 bottles of rum per day. Now he’s not eating and being sick, he’s desperate. They’ve asked him to try to cut down himself, which he can’t do. Or if I’m his friend and im that worried about him to send him to hospital…what a pathetic comment, why are you even there if you’re not helping anyone. He’s crying out for help. You’re not doing anything at all. It’s taken him months to actually go to this centre and admit he needs help…. as he thought they’d help and get him into rehab. He lays in bed all day now, drinks all day and doesnt eat. His body is shutting down . What’s the point??? Just for you to look like you’re actually helping people, you don’t do anything, you’re asking people to help themselves. Pathetic place . No help whatsoever . Waste of time .

I have been attending mental health support services here for about a year. They don't do anything they won't communicate with your GP or other teams involved in your care, they provide no therapeutic service, they will not advocate for you with local authority, they won't help you fill out PIP forms ... This service does nothing. It provides no real service. After a year all my 'lead nurse' did was write two letters. I wasted a year at this service for no reason other than they convinced me they would actually do something. The service is useless, your mental health is better supported by one of those AI girlfriend bots.

#Drug & Alcohol Services @St Andrews House. I’ve just been through a painstaking withdrawal from methadone due to a mixup with the dates for my next appointment & end of my prescription(1 Weeks difference!). I left endless messages & voicemails for my key worker or just anyone else to call me back. I struggle with walking & quite a few other medical conditions so I couldn’t get to St Andrews House to get help with my prescription.

Lost, incorrectly and illegibly filled paperwork (i mean important medical paperwork like blood test forms and PRESCRIPTIONS). Messages do not get through correctly. The medical team may be adept but it's of no consequence because the admin side is apparently completely absent. Your condition will deteriorate under the "care" of this team - mine has. Perhaps something like depression is well taken care of here, but more complicated matters are simply swept away in a sea of administrative incompetence.

what a terrible experience please. If anybody coming to this department make sure they do not care about your health. Basically they tried to falsely tell you something you are got a problem. The doctors they don’t care about your health. They don’t bother about your human being they just try to force you to take the medicine and listen to them. No matter whatever side effects going to destroy your life if you become permanently disable it is no matter, but it is matter. If you do not listening to them they’re gonna do such terrible decision you never believe it, send my complain, about the doctor manager and a nurse they must be disqualified from their job and I will never sit down to ask for my right for 20 years I live in in UK. I never faced such as a terrible service from NHS department they give me a medicine, took me more then a weeks to recover. I’m still suffering from side-effect I had really hard ratings high skin rushing and very bad headache for three nights. I was only took one tablet. I did listen to the doctor I was thinking maybe this tablet is going to help me unfortunately. Unfortunately I was nearly lost my life because of this rubbish service from this department now I write down my complaint, the doctor manager and a nurse must be disqualified from the job. I just leave a comment to this Google map anybody coming to this department make sure they’re not bother your health they’re not bother as you are a human being that as a no good service in this department, there isn’t no human rights respected in this department and there is no professional who qualified properly. I don’t know where they bring the doctors with low quality of service, low education, I just feel sorry for myself and shame to this department, to this department, what they’re poor service
