Very grateful to One Therapy Brighton. Thoughtful and professional support that has made a real difference for me. Highly recommended!
Had a very positive experience with Graeme. He really helped my husband and I through a difficult time and we have learnt to have better conversations with one another. The sessions certainly improved both our relationship and the way we communicate with our adult children. We hope they will also learn from our experience, understand that relationships (& life) can often be difficult but counselling is a tool that can help to get you through the tricky times! Highly recommend.
A disappointing experience with One Therapy, although the therapist we met was nice, so this is not personal to that person but more about the ethos. We booked a pre counselling session to discuss what we wanted to get out of the experience. We spent £130 for a 50 minute initial session and I felt like we had started on to a great path to discuss our issues but at the end of that session we were told that every other weekly sessions (which is only just affordable for us) wasn’t really viable and that weekly session would be expected to keep the momentum of our therapy at pace, £130 per week (£520 per month) is not financially doable for us. We then received a follow up email to confirm that weekly sessions was the only route and that it wouldn’t be ‘ethical’ for the counsellor to recommend anything less. Surely, it is not ethical to not assist a couple who are asking for help regardless of the sessions being every other week. Just be warned that the expectation from One Therapy would be weekly therapy which is not made very clear when booking the initial consultation. Time has been wasted for us and we are back finding a therapist who can accommodate our needs and obviously now having to repeat some of our issues to someone new. Not ideal at all.
Dwayne is an excellent therapist and helped me greatly. He is patient and understanding and I would recommend him highly to anyone considering his services.
Dwayne is completely non-judgemental which allowed me to be totally honest in the sessions and say how I was feeling without reservation. His method of letting you talk through situations and make sense of them is guided but primarily self-reflective. I felt comfortable talking to Dwayne and it was a really valuable experience that I would thoroughly recommend.
