Unfit for purpose. They don't care about your mental health if you have more complex needs and aren't suitable for CBT (other therapies do exist!) They do offer counselling but only a chosen few are permitted to access this. They just expect you to self-refer to expensive therapy that is unaffordable for many. They are refusing to support vulnerable people who, apparently, aren't worth wasting their precious budgets on.

In truth, the therapist I had is one of the best therapists I have ever met both from a patient and professional perspective. She is so endlessly kind and took so many extra steps to ensure that she understood my autism, gender, and everything outside and in between. My therapist truly is a warm, kind-hearted person with such an impressive amount of knowledge at her disposal. She made me feel seen and, more than that, like I could face anything that came my way. I will forever be grateful to her for giving me the tools to understand myself and my OCD and how I can learn to cope. I will never truly be able to articulate my gratitude, but I hope this - in some way - shows it :)

I can’t recommend this place enough. Julia is incredibly knowledgeable and takes so much time to listen to any concerns you may have. A lovely environment and a lovely team of people. There are so many amazing high end products in store, from skin care to every vitamin. Such an asset to the area. Thank you for all the support.

*name* is the most unpleasant person I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to. I had CBT arranged with her which lasted all of 30 seconds where she bluntly told me she will not help me. She didn't give me any further advice. I called the admin team following an incorrectly worded discharge letter and received an argumentative call from *name* at 8:40 this morning where she proceeded to scold me further before threatening to hang up the phone on me. Do yourself a favour and make sure that if you are referred for cognitive behavioural therapy that you are not lumbered with this individual who clearly has no business working with severely vulnerable people. As well as this, if your depression is anything other than mild then you will be told that there's nothing they can do to help you so you'll be back at stage one before you even know it

I have had a lot of different counselling sessions for a long term illness and other problems in the past, and although they have been useful, I always found them slightly impersonal. However, the sessions I had with this service, one on one with Amanda, was excellent. I always felt listened to. Even when I went off at a tangent, I didn't feel like I was interrupting a preplanned lesson, it really felt like the sessions were based around what I needed. I can't recommend this service enough.

My therapist was the best person I could have asked for. He was so friendly and understanding and constantly validated my feelings. I felt I could properly open up to him after only a few sessions and I always felt safe and listened to. I felt that he genuinely cared about me getting better and that he put a lot of time and effort into ensuring my treatment was working. Could not have had a better therapist.

It was the help that I needed. In the beginning it was hard to understand the whole therapy and how can it help me, but by the end everything was more clear and easy to except. It is sad that the therapy lasts for a short time, but any help is better than no help. I think that I've managed to advance a little bit and make a lot out of the tools and techniques that I was given. The service was excellent and even that I preferred a face to face therapy, this video call therapy was as good as the other. Having video support and somebody to clarify and answer my questions was the best and most important part of this journey. The therapy showed me that little steps can make a big change if you are open and want to try. I wish I could have more help with other issue's I have, but for now I am grateful and focusing on this step. I hope to get more support in the future and help other people to hear about this service.

Really friendly and considerate people offering a calming environment which is ideal given the circumstances. My therapist in particular was very understanding of my issues and offered me some interesting yet realistic techniques to battling my issues and overcoming them eventually. I couldn't recommend them enough quite frankly.

I have used Brighton and Hove Wellbeing service twice now, and both times the experience has been really incredible. My therapist at B&H Wellbeing was professional, reliable, and incredibly understanding to my needs and the challenges I presented with. I felt incredibly seen and heard, and I know that she tailored the program to suit my unique situation. I came away with such a deep understanding of why I was experiencing the challenges I was, and also very tangible tools and actions I can now apply going forward.

This service helped me to understand more about myself and what I have been through and provided a safe space to be able to process. This helped develop my confidence in myself and really helped reduce my anxiety. Anita was amazing, she was empathetic but firm so I knew I could trust her in the work we were doing. She helped me build up my self esteem and have confidence in who I am.
