From day one it was clear that Andrew is not just an exceptional educator, but also a passionate advocate for his students’ futures in counselling. His teaching style is engaging and supportive, making complex concepts easier to grasp while fostering a safe environment for open discussions. He has unwavering commitment to our future success: Andrew goes above and beyond, dedicating extra time for one-on-one sessions, offering invaluable insights into the counselling profession, and providing constructive feedback that is tailored to each student's needs. His extensive experience, in this field, adds immense value to his lessons. He shares real-world scenarios that help bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing us for the challenges we may face as future counsellors. He also actively encourages us to develop our own unique approaches to counselling, emphasising the importance of self-awareness and empathy in our practice. So grateful to Andrew and cannot recommend him highly enough!
I had a bad experience with this person that has caused me great distress.
While this is his psychotherapy page, I couldn’t recommend Andrew and his counselling courses enough. As a tutor he is so passionate and it shows in how he teaches, I find his approach very engaging, vocational and professional, I never truly enjoyed education until coming here and coming here is the reason I want to continue with level 4. I completed my level 2 and level 3 here and had great, continuous support throughout such as the many tutorials (1:1) we have to check up on our well-being and progress. (As a bonas, the space is beautiful and cosy!) While Andrew doesn’t teach level 4, if he did, I wouldn't hesitate to stay with him! I can also tell that he is an amazing psychotherapist!
Andrew Hoyt has been an inspiring, supportive and knowledgeable tutor at Brighton School of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I would recommend his level 3 course 1000% and I am incredibly grateful to him for his guidance in helping me move towards a PG Dip at university, on my journey towards becoming a counsellor myself. I am looking forward to hopefully employing Andrew as my Supervisor when I qualify, as I have so much respect for his commitment to his work, and trust in him personally as a dedicated and empathic person. Thank you for this wonderful experience Andrew!
