My Daughter Said He Got Touched By A 20 Year Old In Her Private Area And She Didnt Like It

I referred my self to RSVP last year after being a victim of SA & needing support going through the “legal system”. I was referred to the advocacy team which did not do much of advocating for me I was left to advocate for myself & take on West Midlands police which no victim should have to do. I couldn’t even get a proper supporting letter from them & when I tried to call for help getting the letter rewritten the advocate seemed frustrated that I had called twice. I had to hang up because of how draining & frustrating it is as a victim trying to get help & support & there’s no one taking your trauma as seriously as you are. I didn’t want to leave a review but why should I suffer in silence when they get to move on with their lives & Im here dealing with the aftermath of SA & the lack of input from the same organisation that advertises the same services I required, did not get & had to do for myself in one of the most difficult times of my life. No victim deserves this.

Although the waiting list is long I understand it is not RSVPs fault. They are simply working with the limited resources they have. I now have an amazing therapist who’s emphatic and non judgmental and the receptionist is really welcoming.

I turned to RSVP and they never spotted that I was being abused because it was not by a man or a partner who was the abuser. They even cancelled my appointments without telling also I was forced to feel uncomfortable when I attended their groups. They said I was too quiet. I was quiet because I was traumatised. I was never invited back to the Org again. Months later, I ended up being abused by a close male friend who I confided in regarding previous abuse from others. I was too afraid to access RSVP services after they told me though a video they made that I was not to use their services. Solicitors warn RSVP that I needed their help and support but they ignored it.
