Was given a trainee here when I was in dire need of support and she turned up late to our second session saying "sorry I'm late, I didn't think you would come". She was very uninterested our whole six sessions, made me feel stupid for the feelings I voiced, then made me fill out the form on how I'd rate her and my sessions with her in front of her on the last day so that I didn't put anything bad. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Don't go to this counsellor. I was referred by Living Well Consortium to Rameri Moukam at Patti Gift Therapy, and this has been the worst, most insensitive counselling experience ever. This counsellor showed no empathy or understanding. Instead of helping, I felt worse after the session. She had no remorse for her comments and approach, which was completely unprofessional and damaging. If you care about your mental health, I strongly advise avoiding this counsellor.
I have use their services in the past and I'm happy I did very patient friendly and supportive staff.
Very grateful for this service, would recommend to anyone
Natalia was a god send and helped me navigate through the challenges of life. Amazing soul. Would recommend pattigift to anyone looking for support.
I was refered here by Living Well Consortium and my oppinion is if you are in full time employment this isnt the service for you they dont seem to schedule appointments and just expect you to be free i had to explain this multipul times when i was refered i had an assesment was told somebody would call me back to arrange an appointment that was atleast 5 months ago i havnt called to chase i dont see the point this isnt a service for people in work in my oppinion i dont know about anybody else but i need to be able to schedule an appointment around work i cant just be expected to have a phone appointment at the drop of a hat.
I honestly cannot believe how unprofessional and unhelpful this service is. I referred myself March 2023 and was told I'd hear back shortly for an assessment. I had to call to chase this up. After the assessment I was told someone would be in touch. This didn't happen and I had to call back at the start of July, 3 months after initial contact to see what was happening. I then had a call the following day and discussed days and times available for my sessions, to which i said it would need to be Friday evenings around 6pm. I was told that they would match me to someone as they try to work around the client. Today, 7 weeks later, end of Aug 2023, I called to see what was happening, and they advised that they don't have anyone who is able to see me. They left me waiting with no contact or updates for months. They did not offer an alternative or try to suggest anything. An absolute sham of a therapy service. Would not recommend at all!
I cannot thank Pattigift services enough for not just listening to me, but also supporting me constructively to move forward during this diffucult period of time on my life. Yvette has been instrumental to this process.
After being on a waiting list for a long time, I was so happy to actually begin my therapy journey. To the other reviewer who notes that it is an 'African Gathering' - while Pattigift's roots are African indeed and they are very proud of this, their services are open to all. In my experience, my councillor has provided some excellent insightsand I've never gone away feeling worse than when I walked in the door. If someone wishes to be put in front of a mental health expert (Despite Pattigift being BACP verified) then this is a long wait on the NHS. I have nothing but good things to say about Pattigift, and I wish them all the best.
A diligent and thoughtful organisation, with a methodical approach to your short term and long term growth.
