I met and I heard Veronica Powell present at the 9th Annual International Conference on Emotional Intelligence, which was being held in Florida in 2019. Her presentation and style was very engaging and enlightening. I came away totally impacted by the clear and concise content, the style in which it was delivered and the subject matter. I would not hesitate in recommending Veronica for any speaking or presenting engagements. She is an excellent speaker and presenter.
Dr. Powell is by far one of best therapists. She helped me with managing through being furloughed from the hotel industry, stepping into a role of being a full time stay at home mother and living through a pandemic. Her knowledge and insight in unparalleled. She really listens to all of your stressors with not only no judgement but with a kind heart.
I've known Dr. Powell all of her life and have witnessed her grow and mature into her profession. I attended her training on emotional intelligence and grief which was an enlightening experience. Dr. Powell's trainings are super engaging and personable. She uses the right mix of humor when presenting difficult topics. Dr. Powell draws in her audience through story-telling. What I appreciated was her ability to keep me engaged through a variety of activities that allowed full participation from her audience. Most of all I enjoyed her humble spirit and her ability to connect with her audience at a human level. Thank you Dr. Powell for being who you are and not forgetting your roots.

Dr. Powell was amazing at the experience that she provided and very personal and professional in solving the issues that I had.. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for helping me get through my issues..
Dr. Powell has served as the speaker in our Online Series - Let's connect through social distancing with higher purpose, organized by Lyceum Global - Life Skills and Professional Development for Success. She provided two extremely helpful workshops to help others to improve their communication skills (the first workshop) and to cope with grief (the second workshop). Both workshops were highly rated by all of our participants. Thank you Dr. Veronica Powell for your dedication to serve and for your expertise.
I had 3 sessions with Dr. Powell and I was just starting to feel a breakthrough. I just started to feel that I could trust her and that the sessions were helpful, hell I even thought maybe a trust/bond was being established. Lately, things have been really rocky in my life and bouts of anxiety have been busy. I've emailed, called repeatedly, left messages with her answering service, you name it and she has not returned a single call or desperate voicemail. I do feel a bit abandoned and completely in the dark about why I'm being ignored. Although, nothing negative transpired. As a matter of fact, our last session went extremely well. I think it's really irresponsible for a therapist to flat out ghost a patient. Oh, and let me be clear that I even called confirming with her answering service that she was in good health and operating business as normal. This has truly been puzzling and I'm so terrified to start over with a new therapist considering how difficult it was to admit I needed the help in the first place. So if you don't mind being ghosted, she's the therapist for you.
I recommend Dr. Powell's sessions 100%! She gives a lot of good insight on my problems such as dealing with issues I have in college. Also, she gave many resources in my problem of not knowing which path to take in order to get to my career goal. Dr. Powell is always there when I need her, whether it is through email, phone or in person appointment. I can always count on Dr. Powell to be there for me and ready to listen and give her insight. I enjoy having Dr. Powell as my counselor and will continue to attend her sessions.
