I have only had my initial session so far, but it was very easy to find a therapist taking new clients within a couple of weeks, in addition to scheduling an appointment and answer the surveys. The platform is easy to navigate and very self explanatory. My therapist was amazing! I look forward to working with her more.

I scheduled a consultation with a therapist that I did not like. She scheduled a follow up and I canceled it and selected that I did not want to see her anymore in the drop down menu in the reason for cancelation. She immediately scheduled more appts. I canceled all of them. She keeps adding more. When I call the main line no one will answer. No one has responded to my multiple emails in the portal either. I was also charged for a missed visit that wasn't even scheduled (they send confirmations for appointments as well as a link for the visit) by the same provider that won't stop scheduling visits. It won't let me delete the account or remove my credit card either.

I had a great experience until I met with the provider name Kate today and my experience was not the best. She literally hung up on me less then 10 mins into the session. I would not recommend this particular provider ever. Kate is a psychiatrist with thrive please avoid. Sandra was amazing shes a psychologist because of her I will continue with thrive and find a new psychiatrist.

Thriveworks has great administration, and it was incredibly easy to make an appointment with no wait time. However, that's where the good experience ended. Our therapist was nice but completely ineffective. My husband and I went for couples counseling around whether we should have kids, and besides having us just do a pro/con list during session time (which is a waste of my money), she also said things like "you'll be such a great mom" which I found to be inconsiderate considering the reason I was there is because I'm not sure I want that. She also thought it was appropriate to tell us about her own life and experience with her kid rather than having us talk. All in the sessions were akin to talking to a relative pressuring us to have kids, but I paid for the experience instead (intro session and one actual session). The second session was so bad that my husband was passing me notes asking if we could end it early. I'm baffled why they thought this woman would be a good fit for us. She also took another client's call during our time, which is inappropriate, and I passed that information on to Thriveworks. Finally, we went to one of the DC offices for our visit in person, and when I went to get tap water, it was black. Not brown, black. Absolutely disgusting. I really wanted to like Thriveworks for its ease and affordability, but I wanted actual therapy. Edited to add: Yes, I will reach out via email, but you and anyone reading this should know I have already reported this information via text and did not receive a response.

My therapy sessions with Brandan Vazquez were great! He made me very comfortable with virtual sessions and was always on time and attentive. He provided amazing feedback and suggestions. I felt we worked as a team and attained my goals. Thank you, Brandan.

Brandan Vazquez is a fantastic counselor. He's helped me so much by being a terrific listener, providing me with constructive feedback, establishing a great rapport so that I can trust him and feel comfortable being open and honest with him, and holding me accountable so that I take steps to achieve my goals, grow, and improve. I'm very grateful for the opportunity I've had to work with him.

My counselor Alexis H. was BEYOND excellent!!! See really took the time to listen to not only my current issues/concerns but also this that I have experienced in the past. She worked with me on my goal planning and the steps to attain those goals. I am so glad that I came in contact with her. I feel renewed and refocused!!!

After having worked with multiple counselors over the past two years, and struggling to find a good fit, I am so pleased to be working with the highly regarded Dr. Regina Lawson. Dr. Lawson is not only a brilliant clinician, but also a thoughtful listener and counselor. In particular, I appreciate Dr. Lawson's expertise in providing tools and expert insight to ensure that our sessions are productive, and that after a session I walk away knowing I have tools in my arsenal to ensure success. I have found that many counselors serve as listeners, but do not help navigate or provide the necessary tools to facilitate continued personal development. Dr. Lawson is also thoughtful and kind, but cares about the progress of her clients towards their personal goals, something I value a lot. Dr. Lawson offers both counseling to address mental health and career support. I am endlessly grateful for the work we have done so far over the past 6 months, and look forward to learning new tools to continue on my journey if self growth. Additionally, Thriveworks provides an essential and easily accessible counseling service for the D.C. metro area, which is particularly critical in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. They offer a range of accessible tele-counceling services that allow me to continue receiving services remotely.

This review is for Nitika Gupta. She is a thorough professional in all aspects of being a therapist and there are many reasons why her clients love her. Nitika is a deeply empathetic listener and also has very sensible and grounded reasoning. These are her biggest strengths. Talking to her makes me feel truly heard and she's great at helping me realize my own strengths and biases. During my post partum phase Nitika suggested various exercises to help with anxiety and they were effective but also made feel lees lonely and reassured. Her thorough knowledge of psychology has often shed light on my own problems from a different perspective. This understanding goes a long way in long-term healing patterns and behavior. Nitika is never pushy and truly invested in her clients progress. She is especially adept at understanding the nuances of multi-cultural families so I especially recommend her for that. She creates a positive, supportive environment and her clients all love working with her.

I give five stars to Nitika Gupta, a highly skilled therapist. I know her in the capacity of colleague and have found her knowledge and insight invaluable to my practice. Nitika is a dedicated and well-informed therapist who brings compassion and mindfulness into each of her sessions. Her eclectic approach allows her to expertly navigate therapy session while being sensitive and informative. Nitika has the ability to navigate cultural nuances and complex issues such as race and gender with the compassion and patience it deserves. I highly recommend seeking her expertise.
