Dr. Ibilkunle is a wonderful psychiatrist. He is caring, considerate, and knowledgeable of medications. Best of all he listens. I have been to several psychiatrists and he is the best!
Dr Ibikunle helped me transition out of one of the darker periods of my life. He was caring, showed interest in what I was doing (even outside of mental health stuff), and provided me with the psychiatric care that allowed me to put my life back on track. While I was his patient, I got my Master's and my first high-paying job. I cannot recommend him enough.
Dr Ibikunle is the best, cannot recommend him enough! He's always been kind, thoughtful and happy to work with me to figure out the best treatment options to meet my situation. Plus, he's very quick to respond to any one-off requests, offers virtual visits and accepts insurance! I'll be forever grateful for him, his practice, and his impact on my life.
Dr. Ibikunle is a kind, professional, highly competent psychiatrist. After a couple of unhappy experiences with other providers, I finally found the right fit with him. The well-being of his patients is his primary focus, and it never feels like he is just going through the motions. He also knows medicine inside and out, so you can always be confident in his good judgment about treatment options. I feel grateful to have been his patient, and would continue seeing him indefinitely except that I have moved to another state. Highly recommended!
Dr. Ibikunle is a lovely doctor and counselor—he has helped me find life-changing medication with integrity, and without being pushy. I have always appreciated his way of showing care and compassion in our sessions while delivering his opinions honestly. I recommend him highly!
I went to Dr. Ibikunle before and during COVID (had to switch doctors due to switch of employment and insurance). This was my second time going to a psychiatrist, with a not-so-great experience the first time with a different doctor. Dr. Ibikunle was very helpful and listened to me throughout each session (in-person and virtual). He was able to help me live a better life, in both 'normal and 'high stress' times thorough the past couple years. Overall, highly recommend Dr. Ibikunle.
Dr. Ibikunle is a wonderful psychiatrist. I only experienced the highest quality of care under his treatment. He worked with me through changing medications and didn't make presumptions about how I felt. Very patient and very intelligent. Couldn't recommend him more.
Dr. Ibikunle provides excellent care and does it with good humor. He can be your MD and your talk therapist depending on what you need on the day of your appointment. He listens and is invested enough to call you out, question your line of thought, and give real feedback. I had to leave his care when I switched jobs, but he was able refill my prescription to keep me covered so I didn't have to go cold-turkey. But he's not a blank Rx script: He monitors your prescription use along with your mood, is careful with dosage, and makes sure your psychiatric needs are being met by whatever you're taking. 5/5
Dr Ibikunle was nothing but professional and wonderful while I saw him. He is very warm and welcoming, which was greatly appreciated in my time of need. I moved out of state unfortunately, but I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking psychiatric treatment in the DC area.
I'd give him ZERO stars if possible. I had to report Jimmy Ibikunle to the Washington Psychiatric Society for his unethical behavior. I had been his client for months, and he began ignoring my requests for appointments (without notifying me of any absence). He also changed my medication dosage without informing me, which could have caused hospitalization or other unfortunate circumstances. I do NOT recommend seeing him. It'll leave you completely traumatized. Update: I see that "Doctor" Jimmy Ibikunle replied to my review about an hour after I initially posted it. If he had been just as eager to respond to a current patient's request for an appointment, he could have minimized the need to report him in the first place. How dare he try to antagonize a former patient. Jimmy...I've been apprised of my rights, and it's always a great day for an appeal. Bye.
