In my experience Aquila claims to offer treatment services on their website that they do not offer. Their staff and programming is almost non existent. They milk patient’s insurance plans and only seem to care about making sure they get your urine tests. When they are questioned about any of their clinical or billing practices they retaliate. Aquila Recovery has multiple open complaints with the department of health and the Department of Behavioral Health against them. In fact those complaints against Aquila Recovery were recently escalated to an external review board by The Department of Behavioral health. If you or a loved one is actually looking to get well than I would advise you to look elsewhere for treatment. Contrary to the misleading statement in the company description here, there are plenty of other “ACCREDITED” IOP programs in Washington DC.
My Brother Louis just went and my entire family is so super grateful to jordy and the entire team We had such an amazing experience You don’t choose addiction But you can choose where to get help And we are so lucky to have chosen you God Bless you and the entire Team Would highly highly recommend to any other family seeking help
Wow! The care of the clients is so inspiring I enjoy learning about the recovery process every day with this company
One of the best! Everyone was sweet and very understanding/accommodating Highly recommend
The staff is invariably friendly and loving. The counselors helped me to build a foundation for a better life, each offering their own experiences and wisdom in ways I could never have anticipated.I am at home and with family when I walk through the doors. If you are struggling, if you are hurtling and unsure how to get your life back, I can think of no better place and no better people than Aquila to help.
This place provides over the top great food and snacks, They also provided great class all day, great one on session with your counselor, unlimited snacks, water, drinks through out your stay on a daily basis. Everyone is warm and welcoming so don’t worry about judgement cause this place is a keep it to your self judgement free zone. If your seeking help and truly want to get sober then call them. Really though, you won’t regret this place! This isn’t my goodbye, this I hope to see y’all one day again but under different circumstances. I love y’all Aquila Recovery Clinic!
I love the detail and care that Aquila Recovery provides to everyone that walks into there doors. ❤️
amazing place for treatment options
Watch out! If you're thinking of attending addiction therapy at Aquila make sure you know this. Aquila will ask you to provide a urine sample each week, which I did.... ONCE. I just got my Explanation of Benefits from Carefirst BC/BS and was shocked that the lab they use, Apex Labs, submitted charges to my insurance company in the amount of $3,302.83. Carefirst coded many of the charges as "mutually exclusive procedures, those that overlap and/or lead to the same outcome" others were simply denied. I went there for alcohol issues, but apparently Aquila runs a full screen for every drug imaginable, 33 tests in total! My insurance paid for some of the charges, $576.01 to be exact, but the mere thought of them trying to bill such egregious amounts for these tests concerns me. When I called to express my concerns I was told they know the lab they are using is charging egregiously for the tests. What the heck? Thank god I have insurance to handle this for me. I can only imagine how I would have handled this if it was self pay. Please note, I went to Aquila of my own accord, no court order. I wanted help. I didn't go there to lie about my use and didn't need to prove my sobriety to anyone. They should have explained what they were testing for and why. I would have saved my insurance company a lot of money and declined the test.
