I went to third way and when I was there I found the help I never thought I would find. They are great people and I thank them for everything.

Third Way might work well for some children, but to my granddaughter, it was more like jail. She liked most of the staff but for a child that needs to run and play outside every day to get rid of anxiety, it didn't. She was moved to a facility in Iowa and we saw positive change right away due to staff taking her outside to calm down when she asks. The facility is bright and has lots of windows to look outside.

I lived here back in about 2021-22 famously in the sprout house, moved around there twice- made good friends and adhered to a lot of rules. Their system for medication might be a bit flawed, and they are located in- not always the safest of places, but- it works. And it is a higher lockdown group home than just a typical one.

The staff there are the most caring people I've ever met! They truly care about the kids there. When I picked up my son, his therapist wished his continued best. And cried when we were pulling away with him.

Third Way really does help a lot of kids get to where they want/need to be. The staff will push you to be your best and work through whatever you have going on, you just have to want the help. They helped me through so much, especially Emily.

The staff are good people that care about the kids. They can be tough at times, but that's because they want the best for the kids there. Most of the other comments are made by kids who were mad, and just wanted to vent. Thirdway does help, you just have to be willing to change in order for the program to work.

If I could do 0 stars I would. Youth that have to go through the juvenile system have to go through so much distress and places like Lincoln make it 10x worse and grueling. The staff are rude, they abuse their power. Lincoln specifically is presented as an independent living facility and there is barely any independence. They control your phone usage, you have to give them all your passwords in order to β€œearn” it (which takes 4 weeks minimum). I could go on but there’s probably a character limit on reviews. It’s very comparable to an adult halfway house but even then, adults in halfway houses get more freedom than TWC Lincoln residents.

One of the most abusive facilities I’ve ever been in in my entire life. They will starve kids, withhold insulin from diabetic patients, and straight up LIE to get their way. They steal from clients, going so far as to steal a phone and money from one resident. I 100% would not recommend this facility especially if it is still run by Kim Renner

Terrible. I’d rather a sibling or child end up in jail than a place like this. Emily is the worst. The staff terrorizes the children using their trauma against them. There’s so much I could list but I’m sure a single visit or stay you’ll be informed of the same by your loved one. An animal shelter is more humane than this place
