My therapist is amazing, but Sondermind suuuucks. Their marketing is disgustingly manipulative. I canceled a session with my therapist, we were planning to meet the next week, and then within hours I was bombarded with emails from Sondermind telling me to reschedule. Within two days the emails started saying things like "Last chance to schedule with your therapist!" What bullshit. You're right, Sondermind, it will be your last chance for me to schedule with my therapist, because this next session I'm talking her into going over to another service.

This was just a sad experience. At first everything looked great. Then I started getting flooded with emails for clinical document. OK, that's sort of normal. Problem being the emails were all the same thing. I asked them to stop and they assured me they would and the very next day I got three more for exactly the same document. The other problem is the TOTAL LACK of communication between the office and the providers. I initially contacted my provider with this issue and was informed that she was unaware of these emails and I needed to contact the office. The only contact between the office and provider is to set the appointments. They seem very needy and incompetent in the office. The provider was at least courteous enough to reach out and apologize. When the office is that incompetent, it makes it less than a welcoming space. NOT A GOOD LOOK for a mental health provider.

SonderMind has been fantastic for my mental health care. My prescriber already uses the platform, so everything is super seamless. No awkward matching process needed. Virtual appointments fit perfectly into my schedule, the platform is intuitive and easy to use, they accept my insurance, and the app makes it simple to track progress and stay consistent. My prescriber is excellent, and I'm already seeing real improvements. Highly recommend for convenient, quality mental health support!

The website was helpful to review many therapists. I enjoyed my first session (ever) and will be seeing her again soon.

My first therapy session was very enlightening. I learned many ways to help with my anxiety by redirecting my thoughts. I am glad to be here and my therapist Julie did an amazing job!!! Marley

I was able to choose the Therapist that specialized in some things I needed. Very comfortable to talk to and an active listener. Really enjoyed our first meeting-and from the comfort of my home.

Love the way you can do video sessions with any of the mental health team that are in your insurance plan. If you need to change appts, easy to cancel and sign up for a different time. The website is fairly easy to work with. And so far things are meshing well with the counselor I have been working with.

Make sure you figure out what your payment is after insurance before you book. I was quoted $60. My automatic draft payment was over $225. That’s gross. I get it. I met with someone for an hour. She was great. But not a therapist. She gave me some supplements to try. That’s not a $225 session. It’s wild to me that people would take advantage of people who need help with mental health. I cancelled my next appt. I won’t be going back. What a joke.

The easy of making an appointment, verifying my insurance coverage and meeting my preference type of counselor were just my initial reasons for enjoying this wonderful therapy group. I meet with my new counselor who I connected with, it was amazing. She loaded me with tons of resources to read which is perfect for my personality type INFP. I am very hopeful.
