I can’t recommend this practice highly enough. They supported me through some very challenging chapters of my life and still do. I’m genuinely grateful for the level of care I receive here. My original provider for several years was the practice owner, Dr. Richmond, and he is exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a gift for explaining the mechanics behind medications in a way that is clear, intelligent, and never patronizing. His explanations were exactly what my brain needed to feel confident and informed about my treatment decisions. On top of his clinical expertise, he’s a genuinely good human being - caring, grounded, and incredibly easy to talk to. I also want to highlight Laura Hundemann, whom I’ve been seeing for the past few years. Laura brings a remarkable combination of warmth, clinical sharpness, and genuine presence to every appointment. She has a gift for listening deeply and picking up on nuances I don’t always know how to articulate. Her recommendations are always thoughtful, precise, and grounded in a clear understanding of both the clinical picture and the layers of my described experience. Like Dr. Richmond, she manages to translate complex concepts into explanations that feel both accessible and empowering. I feel understood and supported every time I meet with her. If you’re looking for a psychiatric practice that combines deep expertise with true compassion, this is it. I’m so grateful I found them : )

I have been seeing Dr. Mary O’Hara for around 2 years. She’s an excellent provider, always listens to my concerns, and never rushes through appointments. The office staff is super speedy and I’ve never waited more than a day for a response or med refill. Def recommend if you want personalized care from a compassionate practice.

Doctor Richmond has literally saved my life. I came here 6 years ago and was so severely depressed I was unable to do daily tasks. He kept at it until I was stable and than continued to help me to achieve stable mental health. Do yourself a favor and go and see him. The office staff are fabulous as well.

Listen to the other reviews and RUN FAST!!! I was just trying to be seen as a patient while having a very difficult time and they put me through the ringer trying to be set up as a new patient for 3 weeks even though I have amazing insurance... just to discharge me!!! So much for helping people! The scheduling lady couldn't tell me what my copay would be but was happy to push to schedule me and get my credit card info to charge $200 if I cancelled. Understandably I told her I had to figure out what my copay was first then... While I did that, they blew up my phone trying to secure my appointment with both calls AND text messages... My insurance said it was covered. Psyche said it wasn't. So I got my insurance provider and psyche on a three way call to make sure everyone was on the same page... Everything was fine. Then a few days before my appointment I get a random email from some other lady telling me I've been discharged and they can't see me... so clearly they're running some BS money grubbing business... capitalizing on other people's mental distress. Horrifying business and model. Horrifying people who work there.

I have referred many people to Dr. Richmonds's practice for medication and they have always had a positive experience. Dr. Richmond is passionate about helping people feel better and has a great tram of prescribers. The practice has immediate openings and in-person appointments. I highly recommend this practice for medication evaluation and management.

Complicated paperwork (nothing like your average patient intake) using Spruce took a long time to complete but Jasmine offered reassurance and instruction! Once completed & once virtual visit with Jessica began, I was struck by the compassion and reassurance provided by each and every individual involved in the process. I look forward to my next appointment and anticipate a positive outcome all around. Thanks to everyone for their support and understanding! Great way to begin a New Year!

If you are looking for a mental health provider you found them!! I have seen a few others in this office, all were great, however Dr Richmond is my primary Dr at this office. I've been seeing him for well over 7 yrs (maybe 8? lol) and is the best provider I've ever found. Dr. Richmond truly cares about his patients, evident when he never rushes me even with his extremely busy schedule. He truly listens, cares and makes suggestions. He also provides me with additional research and resources for a diagnosis he's considering so I can do my own research to learn more, enabling me to actively participate in my care. My opinion counts! Most critical is that Dr. Richmond stays up to date and continues his education on the latest research and treatment options in order to always provide the very best care based on vetted research. As I make progress, he ajusts my care as needed so I can live a full life and utilize many methods to improve my mental wellbeing. I could go on about Dr Richmond, however I would like to mention his office staff. Elvia handles the rarely recognized but extremely important and complex task of working with insurance companies, pharmacies and the patents to ensure they get the medications they need and help them overcome insurance or pharmacy obstacles. I recently had several difficulties getting my pharmacy and insurance to work together with my Dr's office for approvals; resutling in two separate perscriptions each taking a month to receive after being perscribed. Elvia answered every portal message and even called me personally to keep me updated on the progress, battling for me with the pharmacy and insurance company! In the end, of course, she cannot control pharmacies entering in inaccurate information to the insurance company or the pharmacy itself causing delays. However, I know no matter what happens she will not stop until I'm able to get the medications for my continued care. Each time I work with her things are always resolved. Always! She's on top of refill requests and goes above and beyond every time to make sure I am taken care of. A normal practice I'm confident she extends to all patients at Psyche. I cannot recommed this office and Dr Richmond enough! I know how difficult it is to find someone who actually truly cares for their patients, listens to them and makes them feel comfortable despite discussing sensitve mental conditions. His care philosophy and empathy for patients extends to his colleages in the office. You know you will be cared for with respect and empathy, never rushed, if you see anyone in his office! Mental wellbeing has taken a front seat, as the repercussions from COVID and other world and life stressors escalate. If you're searching for an excellent provider who has the whole package with the excellent office staff, (rarely found) this is the one for you!

Dr. Richmond and I have been working together for 3 years. They are very busy but Dr. Richmond always makes time for me when I really need him. Be prepared to wait if you have an appointment later in the day. He takes time with people whether or not he is behind schedule for whatever reason and it’s worth it. The staff is great and they have helped me through a rough period of my life. They assisted me in getting on prescription assistance and with prior authorizations with the insurance company. Everyone is very straight forward about cost and what my insurance will cover. The TMS staff, Sandra and Abel, were very accommodating of me when I was not able to make appointments due to my illness. There were days I just didn’t feel up to it. They rescheduled and didn’t let me give up on it. I am currently on the tail end of my 4 week cooldown period and I have to say that: a combination of therapy, sobriety, proper medication (it took multiple tries to find ones that worked), and the TMS therapy has me in a really good spot. I am slowly re-entering the workforce and finding situations to set myself up for success. My interpersonal relationships are healthier. My dogs are better taken care of. Big thank you to everyone who helped me get to where I am right now. It is a lot of work, but it works if you honestly try to participate in your own recovery. One day, one hour, even 1 second at a time.

I have been seeing Dr. Richmond for about 3 yrs now. Absolutely no complaints! Him, his team and associates are all polite, professional, informative, intelligent and they actually CARE about you as a person. The visits are personal and I always feel welcome. Regardless if it's in person visits or virtual. Dr. Richmond always helps and is great with solutions and up-to-date methods and treatments. Also, online access through their portal for access to personal medical information. I would recommend time and time again! Great Team!!!💜

Doctor Richmond and his staff are truly amazing. I will warn you in advance, expect to wait sometimes as they can get a little behind during the day through some appointments. Though, I never mind waiting as Dr. Richmond is very thorough and very clear and very understanding. Not only does Dr. Richmond know his field, but he is constantly giving direction and advise and support to ensure patient growth. The office staff was also able to get a prior authorization for a prescription through the insurance in about an hour (special thank you to Elvia for that). I would recommend that you book appointments in advance since the appointments fill up quickly. I could not recommend this team enough. 10/5 if I could!
