I looked into a lot of options for sober living in Colorado before a friend pointed me to Mile High. From day one, the staff made me feel like I belonged. The house was clean, structured, and full of people who actually wanted to see each other succeed. Attending 12-step meetings together and building real routines gave me the foundation I needed. Six months in, I finally feel like myself again.
When I first arrived at Mile High, I was deep in drug and alcohol addiction, desperate to get clean. Through their residential program and group therapy environment, I learned how to navigate my emotions in a healthy, sober way. Then, as a part of their sober living, you're treated with dignity, respect and it genuinely teaches you how to get back on your feet. In all honesty, I owe Mile High the life that I have built for myself, because they gave me the tools to do so
Mile High sober living is an incredible program! Very high quality and great staff. They operate with compassion and integrity. Definitely a good place to get sober and recover!
I would love to share my experience with Mile High Sober Living. My younger brother lived with me off and on for four years as a hard-core drug addict. As we all know, it was hell. Somehow I found Mile High Sober Living and reached out to Brice. He immediately got my brother into a living situation And that was about seven years ago. My brother has been sober for five years now. Brice’s team is awesome and if you or a family member needs support please reach out to them. They have a great facility great staff and if you’re truly ready for healing, just make the call
I have been in several sober livings throughout the Denver Metro area, and this one has been hands down the best. The managers (like John, and Tony) are experienced recovering addicts that have years of sobriety and offer extremely helpful resources and advice. They are open and available. They are reasonable, genuine, and humble. This has an effect on the clients that take the program seriously and decide to stick around. Those clients share the same characteristics. The houses are very clean and in great locations. They take recovery seriously. If you are a parent or loved one looking to help, please give Mile High a chance. - John Houghtaling

I moved into Mile High Sober living in 2020 and ended up staying for a couple years. The community provided through Mile High was essential to my long term sobriety. Would recommend to anyone looking to get plugged in to a solid community of recovery.
I lived at Mile High Sober living for 6 months during 2023. I moved to Denver, CO from Cleveland, OH in July of 2023. While moving to a state where I knew no one was scary, MHSL provided a warm and welcoming environment. I immediately felt like I belonged. Prior to moving into sober living, I had never lived in a completely sober environment in my life. It was at MHSL I gained the tools I needed to stay sober. Accountability through meeting requirements, weekly drug screenings, and amazing house managers was exactly what I needed. The community is unlike anything else I had ever been a part of. I'm now 2 years sober (and counting) and I'm so beyond grateful for my time in sober living at Mile High. I'm sober today because of it. The staff and community here believed in me during a time when I did not believe in myself. I carry that with me in my sobriety today.
I lived at one of the Mile High Sober Living houses from 2021 to 2022. I couldn't stay sober on my own—I had tried and failed for years. I kept promising myself, "I can do it this time," only to end up drunk and hopeless again. A friend recommended Mile High Sober Living in Denver, and I figured I’d try it out for a couple of months. I ended up staying for a year. The accountability and community made a fundamental difference in my recovery. Today, I tell people that I never would have reached a year sober (now over four years!) without giving myself that time in sober living to actually learn how to live sober. I’m beyond grateful to the Mile High house managers, the other residents in my house, and the broader community of peers across the other houses for making my journey toward long-term recovery not just meaningful—but a hell of a lot of fun.
