I love this place!! Definitely have a friendly and supportive staff. They are open later (till like 1:30 in the a.m.) They even do intake till 11:30 p.m. They go above and beyond to help you and make things easy. They have two nurses. The have support groups, one on one counselor sessions, weekly U.A.'s. Overall, I recommend this Methadone Clinic to anyone who is trying to get off opiates.
These people are great they helped me tremendously with my methadone treatment
I haven't been going here for more than a week when I expirenced the same thing a lot of other reviews mention. Staff that either don't know what's going on or simply don't care. That's just the reviews that go unedited because a lot are obviously edited that started out negative then have the initial review deleted and the stars bumped up to 5/5. This was only my 3rd time here after the initial intake. One of the things that sold me on this clinic over others is the hours. During my intake, Bill, who seemed like he genuinely cared and knew what he was taking about assured me multiple times that they does until midnight but just to be courteous to try to not show up past 11:45. Because I had to work late today I couldn't make it in until 11:30. I walked through the open door at 11:31 and saw a full lobby of patients only to be told they were closed. After mentioning to the front desk gentleman that I can't make it in any sooner on Wednesdays and that I was specifically told by multiple people I had until midnight I was turned away despite being there at 11:31 with a handful of people in line. Getting my dose would have taken no longer than 30-60 seconds but they so callously showed me and they didn't give a shit even after I mentioned that I just started methadone treatment and at 40mgs was nowhere close to a therapeutic dose as it is now I either relapse or have to wait another 14 or so hours of feeling unwell before I can find time to make it in tomorrow. I'm seriously debating trying to fall asleep In alley just to be able to get my medicine first thing in the morning when they open instead of taking the long bike ride back home and then back again tomorrow while in withdrawal. It'd be one thing if I was super late but I was 1 minute after a cut off time that it seems like they made up. I haven't even finished my review and I've seen the entire staff empty the building and be on their way home by 11:50pm. This is the exact opposite of compassionate care MAT patients depend on. I was already on the fence about this place based on interactions with staff, how dirty the lobby is, how generally disinterested staff acted, the lack of an emphasis on providing help and resources for not just methadone but the quality of life of patients wether that's help with mental health or housing. Even just offering snacks or coffee would be an improvement over what they offer here. From other clinics I've been to these types of devices are standard and none of those have the volume(money being made) that this clinic does so to have such an off-putting experience right off the bat is disappointing but telling of things to expect down the line. Thrive on Broadway is lot an exact opposite of DRG. So I need to decide whether I can realistically trade off a commute 4 times as long as the one to DRG involving multiple busses opposed to a bike ride to ensure I'll be successful in my recovery and actually get the treatment everyone deserves because it doesn't seem like I'll get that here. I recommend everyone reevaluate as well. There are much better options especially when their main selling point, their hours, being a egregious lie. I didn't mention the construction what I nightmare.,,
Very disappointed in services with all staff members.know one knows what's going on at all. Especially with people incarsarated . Not cool at all. They don't answer phone or call any one back. They seem to forget that they are a METHADONE clinic!!! I have been thinking very hard about going to a different clinic!!! Not happy at all!!!
I posted a post a while back expressing my negative concerns for the clinic but I was a fairly new client then, and in the past 6 months they've really been on top of my care. I certainly haven't been an easy client but they've came thru every time when I needed them. Highly recommended.
A DRG worker dropped his bike on my dog. They also lied and said if I got there that night I would get my methadone. After 3-4 torturous hours they said nurse whoever was off that night and I would have to return at 5AM. This was at 1:30AM. Pretty inconsiderate. To say the least.
I can without doubt say I would be dead if it wasn't for drg. I did suboxone for a year before finding myself at drg's door. While I do not like the bureaucracy and negative stigma of attending a methadone clinic i will say that DRG does care about the well being of the patient, even if at times it may not feel like it. I have been there for 5 years now and I have seen staff come and go and have had more counselors then most but every one I have had has always genuinely cared about my well being. For myself it might be a little different because I have high stress career that includes a lot of travel and if you saw me you may never guess I have an opioid problem but of all the places I have ever been to or guest dosed at, drg is by far above the rest. Hannah my counselor is truly amazing and james the other counselor is just as wonderful and amber who usually runs the front is also amazing and I absolutely love Shelly the nurse. They are all caring and kind and treat me with the up most respect even when I can tell they are having a day. I think the stigma will always be there no matter what clinic you go to but I will say DRG does it's best to not be the same as every other clinic. I believe Denise strives to be an industry standard. While I will not always agree with everything they do or say I will always say that this place saved my life and continues to do so. Sorry for the extremely long message but after seeing the negative reviews I thought I would say how wonderful of a place I truly believe drg is.
The staff is amazing, they help you past whatever barriers you may have on your way to recovery. They are open 24 hrs for intakes. They have clinics everywhere and the one on East Colfax is open to dose till 11:30pm. What more can you ask for???
Don’t let the front desk people deter you. The counselors are great. The doctor listens to you. They offer group therapy, some one on one counseling, and can help you with other support resources. You do need to have a level of patience when you enter, it’s a methadone clinic off Colfax that is primarily self pay or Medicaid, set your expectations accordingly. I am inconsistent with my treatment and everyone beyond the front desk is still friendly to me, contrary to all the other reviews, the nurses are very nice. This clinic is absolutely not for everyone but once you know your way around and know what to expect, you can get some excellent treatment here. Tyler is an exceptionally intelligent and approachable counselor, they gained a superhero by hiring him. As I said, do not let the people working the front run you off or put you in a bad mood, you’re just giving them what they want by leaving. Thank you to DRG for staying open and being caring. It makes the disease that is addiction so much more bearable being in a safe space, I hope we are all able to find safer coping mechanisms. Be nice to each other, you never know what the other the person is going through.
They are always so helpful and kind. Ever since I stepped foot in the door months ago until now, they have been more than amazing and easy to work with. If you want to get well and are concerned about the clinic you want to participate with, I highly recommend this one. It’s easier to get clean when you have people helping you that don’t judge and are helpful in any way they can be. Thanks for everything, you guys ROCK and you are my rock. 😉
