The amount of support and help I have received from the doctors and nurses at this location is absolutely amazing! I have a therapist, a case worker, a psychiatrist, and they do groups and meetings all related to addiction. Without these people I would not be where I am today. I am 14 months sober

Do not use their facilities. High staff turnover, don’t respond to any emails, phone calls, and can’t answer questions. Staff is extremely rude, and under qualified to council. If you seek treatment be sure to ask to see credentials. You will be denied! I was was waiting for an appointment in the lobby. They were doing stand-up intakes with new clients just feet away and I could hear very personal information being discussed. Not OK! They are extremely unprofessional. Do not recommend.

suggest get in writing cost as I asked the tech, Dee Dee, twice before scheduling services what the cost would be and was told it would not cost me anything. a few months later, I get a bill for over a $1k. Tried reaching out to her several times and she would not give me a call back, had to get someone else to have her call me. Once I spoke to her, of course she did not recall our conversations and sounded like she really could care less. at the end, she made false claims and I am stuck with a bill for over a $1k. disappointing and frustrated!!!

I've been with Denver Health for mental health for about for a couple of years now, and im getting really inconvenient with the help that I'm getting here. This place is a joke. The people who work here are a joke. I have tried everything for mental health help here in the state of Colorado. None and nothing has work. Im out of options for mental health πŸ™ƒ Denver health is a mess.... PERIOD.

I admitted myself for severe mood swingsβ€”particularly with mania. I could tell the staff didn’t believe me but I still tried to be as open and honest as I could. They gave me Prozac without telling me that it could worsen mania without a mood stabilizer. 2 weeks after my discharge, I had an another manic episode that was worse than my typical episodes and seriously compromised my physical and mental safety. I believe this to be directly because of the meds they gave me.

This place is a joke. My daughter went in and was going through withdrawals. She also had a baby at the time. They came in to help and they came in gave me a spill about how they won't drop the ball and they will make sure that she gets all the help she needs and keep her on her medication that THEY PUT HER ON!!! She was living in Colorado Springs. I didn't want them involved because if they put her on medication and she couldn't get in to keep the medication going she would be back at square one going through withdrawal ls and it would effect her mental health and her post pardom depression. I was not excited about them stepping in Doctor came in gave me a song and dance on how they won't let her slip through the cracks and stay on top of it so she won't go through withdrawals on her mental health medication they are gonna give her. Well that song and dance was just that within the mo th of her going home getting an appointment was gonna take longer than her meds would last and guess what they dropped the balk. My daughter called me panicked and freaking out she was out of medication and coming down she was crying and hysterical. Me and all her support team was calling and calling and we got NO HELP NO ASSISTANCE NOTHING!!!! ALL THIS CRAP ABOUT we take Mental health seriously was just a song and dance. Never trust the physicians in the behavioral health program. They lie through their teeth and are the most horrible people I have ever delt with. They did exactly what they said they wouldn't do. They are a joke and I feel so sorry for their patients that have to deal with them. This was in 2025. Never will I trust them ever!!

when i was about 13 or 14 i was admitted, and two of the techs there were absolutely disgusting. One tech, ironically named Karen, was in a group therapy with this other patient who had tics. when she started having them another patient asked what they were doing. she then proceeded to say something along the lines of: β€œshe does it for attention and cause she thinks it’s cute” and the tech had to be removed from the therapy because of the uproar from the other patients defending the patient with tics. when it spread around we were in the day room talking about filing a complaint. another tech named Ashley inquired about it and we tried to tell her but she shot us down by saying, and this i remember this clearly: β€œi don’t wanna hear it, i don’t wanna hear you talk about my friend like that. it makes me feel icky.” along with other things those two specific techs had said/done, they had disgusting behavior and attitude towards us. i don’t know if either still work there because this was about five years ago. but i hope that they did get some kind of repercussions for that behavior.

I have been seeing Dr. Loretta Riley since March. She hasn't refilled my medications on time once in the six months since. I've come to expect it so consistently that I wean myself off of my meds every month to prevent seizures. I cannot express how frustrating and difficult this is as someone who is on anti-depressants. It takes two months for them to build up in your bloodstream after stopping them, so I've been struggling pretty hard for a long time. I'm being transferred to a new provider, so I'm hoping that it's just her, not everyone there. But, if you get on and they tell you that you've been assigned Dr. Loretta Riley, INSIST that you see someone else. The reason why she is available is because she is hurtful more than she is helpful. On the plus side, the nurses on the nursing line are very nice. I've spent a decent amount of time talking to them since I have to call multiple times every month πŸ₯²

I am really upset with the service at Denver Health. I have been calling for two days to speak to my 17 year old daughter. Twice I have been put on hold and then was hung up on by an operator. Then when I called again, I was told no I can not speak to my daughter because I called to many times and had already talked to my daughter. When I replied saying I never talked to her, the staff said they don't know what to tell me, and they did not believe I was her mother. This is absolutely outrageous and very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend having care here for a loved one.

7 years ago this April I called the number to get help for my opiate addiction. From day one my counselors and doctors have all been AMAZING. Robyn, Aimee, Jean, Andrea and Dr. Hurley are some of the most dedicated and genuine people I have ever met. It helps that I show up to almost every single appointment and if I am unable to I attempt to reschdule. The thing about recovery is you really have to put in the work. Medication is part of it for me but without these women I could not have made it to the place I am today. I am enjoying my life, I finally have a job that pays well, so many of the issues that lead to my addiction have been addressed and I cannot imagine ever going back to what I've left behind. Honesty, hard emotional work, a strong desire to get clean and these people at the behavioral clinic have come along my journey with me. Thank you so much for doing the hard work with me, for helping me see that I do, in fact, deserve to be loved and actually happy.
