Mathew is not a talented listener, which is a giant red flag for his line of work. I would go as far to say he is a poor communicator in general. Every time our time was up he would say "I gotta go," and then hang up on me as I was saying goodbye. Every time we spoke I was answering the same questions. And he kept saying he'd produce a treatment plan - never happened. Instead, he wrongly insisted that I was intoxicated and needed to go to detox, which was absurd as I was stone sober at the time. He tends to make assumptions about his clients without getting to know them. I was excited to find someone close to home, but the hunt continues. Ignore this guy's 3 degrees he will absolutely make you see in the background. They mean nothing. Oh, and don't let him waste nearly a month of your time promising treatment plans and such. Each time we talked it was like he had just met me. I don't think he did it on purpose, but I really could have put that time to better use.
Extremely bad at communicating and honoring scheduled appointments. This guy scheduled a session with me, then changed it the day before without even telling me. I left work early for it after having the date noted in my calendar for a month. I get the feeling he hates what he does for a living.
