⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr. Shuman has been an extraordinary source of support and care for our family for the past 5 months. My child who has a mental health diagnosis, has made remarkable progress under his guidance. He’s now working full 10-hour days, teaching piano, socializing, exercising regularly, and handling feedback with a new level of maturity and grace. What makes Dr. Shuman so exceptional is his steady, respectful approach—working at my child's pace, honoring his perspective, and never forcing conversations around his diagnosis. He adjusts medication gradually and thoughtfully, always with my son's best interests in mind. As a parent, I’ve leaned on Dr. Shuman’s insight and responsiveness many times, and I don’t know what we would have done without his expertise. Any family would be so lucky to have him as their doctor with such a difficult situation. We’re deeply grateful for everything he’s done for our child and our family. Dr. Shuman is highly recommended! He's the best. — Carol.

After a year of working with Dr. Shuman and a long journey to his door, I can’t say I’m cured but I wanted to write a review on the positive experience I’ve had. He is extremely professional, detail oriented, shows his knowledge and makes you feel like you can trust his recommendations and guidance. If you’re looking for a “quick fix”, or someone to fill your meds this is not it. I trust Dr. Shuman and appreciate him and his right hand, Alyssa. If you’re reading this, good luck with your journey. We’ve got this.

Dr Shuman is an excellent healthcare provider, helping me with clarity in diagnosis, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with other providers. His office is comfortable, inviting, and immaculately clean. He is flawless with record keeping, scheduling, and communication.

Dr. Shuman came as a recommendation from my therapist and it's been a great experience. One of the best aspects of his practice is that he is easy to get a hold of and readily available to patients. I'd highly recommend him.

As a board certified psychiatrist who specializes in general mental health and addiction, I highly recommend Dr. Shuman and his practice, Confluence Psychiatry. He is prompt with responses, effective in treatment (listening to my needs and prescribing medications), and objective. Making sure my needs are met at every stop along this journey. Even when I have issues with the pharmacy, he will make sure everything is correct. He approaches me with sincere kindness and empathy. Another great benefit is that his office is calm and soothing, with lights and music that really set a peaceful ambience/ mood.

I have been seeing Dr. Shuman for some years. My work with him has been positive and productive. He is a really good listener and remembers what I tell him about my past issues and concerns. Dr. Shuman quickly integrates what he knows about me to be helpful in my journey forward. He makes interesting, appropriate suggestions about things I might do or investigate to better myself. He even suggests books that relate to my situation. He has a good sense of humor and I think he enjoys his work with me. It is important to me to feel a good connection with the doctor I'm seeing, and I like what I have with Dr. Shuman.

Dr. Shuman is an absolutely amazing psychiatrist. He not only listens to you with compassion and empathy, but also responds with a sincere level of detail and provides concrete methods and solutions to your needs (books, activities, general advice, scientific research, etc.), not just regarding medication. My mental health has improved significantly thanks to him and I now have a variety of tools in my toolbox for handling my anxiety. I cannot give enough of a recommendation. Thanks, Dr. Shuman!

The last king of Denver psychiatry. Recognize there’s a lot of impolite customers at a place like this and to those few who say he can be rude that’s because he’s at the top and cutting edge of the profession besides being from the east coast so he’ll tell you it how it is whether you want to believe your diagnosis is up to you. He’ll come down to your level when you need it. Coming from someone who many consider a genius I know a fellow one when I see one but he has so much compassion for people like me struggling with mental illness. Also one of the best views in the whole state and that’s saying something.
