I love FSP program! Early this year I was referred from the 529 Mental Health Clinic down the street to FSP and I am so satisfied with the Staff and treatment i am currently getting at this clinic. I've been on the FSP program for approximately 5 months now Cassey the Case worker is amazing and nice and always listens to me and I am so happy to be working with her. Alvaro is amazing as well he is always there for me whenever I need something. Dr Tran is an outstanding Doctor who is very good at communicating with me in regards to medications and diagnosis. The Blonde hair lady who is the security guard is very sweet and professional at her job and the people working in the window are super nice! I am 100% satisfied with the service and treatment I am receiving at this Clinic. Highly and happily will recommend it.

I have been receiving services from Downtown Mental Health for approximately two years now. It has been integral to my growth as a person. I have struggled in a number of ways throughout my whole life and accessing quality care has not always been easy. For the longest time I was ashamed of who I was. Ashamed of what I had done and the person I had become. Almost all this stems from incidences in my early childhood. Downtown Mental Health has equipped me with tools so I could live a better life and be a productive citizen. The psychiatrist I see is Dr. Hoffman. My therapist is Ashley. She also functions as my case manager and has helped me with more than just talk sessions. On a number of occasions she has gone above and beyond to ensure my welfare. She earned my trust overtime with her actions not just her words. Downtown Mental Health is in the heart of skid Row so be prepared to see some sketchy people in there. Their security is always on point though and no one is allowed to bring weapons in. It is a safe space. For the most part everyone that works there is courteous and understanding. The bathroom gets a little torn up but that's to be expected considering the location and clientele. Walk-ins are excepted although I would highly recommend calling ahead. Getting an appointment with a psychiatrist can be difficult but the people there will work on your behalf to ensure you were taking care of to the best of their ability. Not all psychiatrists or counselors are created equally so if you're not comfortable or feel you are not receiving the correct services feel free to change. The first woman I encountered at Downtown Mental Health did very little for me and I found her to be incompetent. My experience with Ashley has been the complete opposite. My recommendation would be just to keep trying and never give up. If you want anything bad enough you will get it. You just have to be willing to put in the work. I wish the very best for you and I hope you find peace.
