Truly one of the worst psychiatric experiences I have had. They do not trust you to know your own body nor to pick up your own medication. The office staff is rude and the online records system almost unusable. Avoid this group unless you want to be treated as if you are an idiot who does not deserve current best standards of care.

I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency in this business’s cancellation policy. I cancelled my appointment on a Friday at 6 am for an appointment scheduled for the following Tuesday at 2 pm which, by any reasonable measure, is two business days in advance. Despite that, I was still charged a cancellation fee. When I called to ask about it, I was told I should have cancelled by Wednesday for it to count as two business days. I’m not sure how they’re calculating “business days,” but this doesn’t seem right. Clearer communication and a fairer policy would go a long way toward improving the customer experience.

The one star is for the actual provider I saw, otherwise they would get negative stars. I had no prior account balance and I got a call 2 days before my next appointment to pay $60 or they would cancel my appointment. I tried to speak with someone but no one answered at any part of their phone tree. The doctor made me another appointment yesterday, which the accounting department canceled over this THREE DAY OLD $60 BILL! Their online portal is clunky and difficult. Their intake is convoluted to begin with. I went elsewhere for part of my services because they charged me hundreds to take my intake information, took over a month to match me with a provider, and I found an appointment elsewhere within a day without being charged. This place is clearly run like a collections agency that cares more about making money off their patients than helping anyone.

I feel so lucky to have found West Coast Medical. I found them through Medicare and Medicare pays the whole thing depending on your plan. Amber, my therapist and Angela my psychiatrist have been just wonderful. I’ve been going through such a hard time and they’re helping me through. It’s so important to get help for your mental health Issues. If you’re looking for therapy help or a psychiatrist look no further. They are wonderful!

Terrible, terrible, terrible and unethical practice. They had me fill out an intake assessment which took around 20-30 minutes to complete. Then we had an intake appointment which was an hour long where they asked me about my medical history until the last 5 minutes of the call when they said they were unable to provide me with medical services due to something I had disclosed in the intake paperwork. I was crying because I was being denied care even though I put in hours setting up this appointment, filling out paperwork, and waiting three weeks for the initial appointment, and the doctors showed zero empathy nor care. Then I was charged $380 for the intake appointment despite zero medical care being provided. When I tried to dispute the claim, the financial department was rude to me and they closed my patient portal, which was the primary form of communication. For reference, I spoke with two other psychiatrists in the area and they had intake phone calls which took less than 5 minutes and if they were unable to provide care, did not bill me for such services. Even my initial appointment with my current psychiatrist was $180, not $380. Bottom line, they charged me an excessive amount for an intake appointment which could have been avoided if they actually read the intake paperwork they had me fill out and then cut off the primary line of communication when I had billing concerns.

Provider truly listened, provided feedback to make sure she understood what I was trying to communicate, and responded thoughtfully and knowledgeably. Her expertise and care about her patients was evident, she has a very friendly demeanor and gave me a sense of well-being and trust in being in her care. Our goals for treatment were mutually discussed and aligned so expectations were clear. I am excited to proceed with this new provider

Dynasty is very helpful to me and my appointments always have been keeping me on track to move forward in my life. She is helping me learn about boundaries and is very astute and perceptive. I learn so much from her that I can apply. She understands my adhd condition and how it shows up in me as a woman. I’m very grateful to be working with her.

Be aware of billing practices! I cancelled my appointment with Well Coast Medical within two full working days as stated in their cancellation policy, yet I received an invoice for a late cancellation. Furthermore, the invoice was for a higher amount than the one stated in their policy, the amount was later corrected without any apologies for the mistake, and they are still trying to charge me for a late fee. It's a shame that one would have to go through this type of experience when seeking mental health care.
