Review of DR Scott Moresi, LMFT I grew up in a culture where therapy wasn’t something people celebrated — so it means a lot for me to say that I genuinely look forward to it every week. Scott is incredible. He’s one of those rare people who truly knows how to read the room — and to me, that’s one of the most valuable qualities anyone can have, especially a therapist. He has this uncanny sense of when to challenge me and when to hold space. He asks the right questions at the right moments, but he also respects my boundaries when he can tell I’m at my limit. That balance of awareness and empathy is what makes him exceptional. Somehow, he always manages to make my day a little better — which is impressive, considering I’m not too far from Oscar the Grouch. Part of what makes Scott so good at what he does is the way he creates a real sense of safety. He does it not by forcing anything, but by allowing glimpses of his own humanity. He’ll occasionally share small, thoughtful snippets from his own life that make the space feel genuine — like an invitation that says, “It’s okay to be real here.” That kind of subtle vulnerability sets the stage for honesty, and to make a stranger feel that comfortable is an impressive skill. Whatever voodoo he casts, it works. Beyond that, he’s just a genuinely cool and sharp person. I often catch myself asking him questions because his perspective fascinates me — he’s open-minded, thoughtful, and effortlessly wise. Honestly, I think he’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met, and I’m excited to keep learning from him. Even though I’m still early in my healing journey, I can honestly say that the two hours a week I spend with him are my favorite hours of the week. I always leave feeling grounded, challenged, and grateful. I’ve quit most therapy journeys in the past — but something in me knows this one’s different. And funny enough, I actually found him through ChatGPT — which, at this point, feels like one of the best introductions I’ve ever had. Proud to brag: my therapist is awesome.

Working with Scott doing IFS therapy has been a life changing experience for me. He holds such a safe container, allowing for my nervous system to relax and integrate our work into my body. Scott is kind, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend working with him! I am grateful beyond words ;)

Scott is a warm and present therapist who I feel safe with and has the ability to cut to the chase, get to the root cause of issues, and say exactly what you need to hear to figure out complex things about yourself. But, more than this, he can also teach you a variety of tools that can help you quickly center yourself whenever you need to. I wholeheartedly recommend Scott to anyone looking for greater personal understanding and growth.
